favorite gyroid(s)?

what are your favorite gyroids and why?

I have a lot lol, here are my favorites:
• Plinkoids because I've always thought the little clink noise they make is kinda cute.
• Dinkoids for basically the same reason.
• Nebuloids because they sound super cool and, when paired with a slow song, remind me of drifting through space.
• Quazoids for a similar reason, very space sounding. the mini quazoid in particular is neat.
• Sproids because... well they're absolutely hilarious.
• Sputnoids because they sound robotic and remind me of the end of Mr. Roboto.
• Dekkoids because they just sound so darned cute when they go "dekkai!"
• Freakoids because, like the sproids, they sound hilarious.


also can I just mention, if gyroids aren't added to New Horizons soon I'll be very disappointed.

My favourite gyroids were the dingloids because of the sound that they made and that they went great with the golden series.

I don't even know the different types very well, but I made a creepy gyroid infested house in NL as a second character. So in one room it was ramshackle or whatever flooring and wallpaper, but with all the Lovely furniture. All the pinkish shades of gyroid went in there. Another room had toys/crayons etc scattered about with all the tiny groids in there.

I dunno why I decided to do that, the rest of my town was very ordinary haha

I love gyroids so this is going to be difficult to narrow down.

Lullaboids - Ok, if I was forced to pick just one favorite, it would probably be these. I love the colors and they sound very soft and soothing but also just a bit melancholy.
Poltergoids - Easily my second favorite set. They look and sound so spooky!
Gongoids - I use these in my Asian inspired home and I think they compliment Imperial K.K. very well.
Percoloids - They have a very natural sound and I think they go well with the Gongoids. I like to mix and match my gyroids.
Dingloids - They have a very classy sound and look. I think they work well in a music room or a fancy decorated space.
Metatoids - These are fun and I like mixing one in with some of the other sets. It breaks up the sound and gives it a haunting quality in my opinion.
Croakoids - They're cute and come in fun colors, plus the croaking sound is perfect for a space decorated like the outdoors.

There are so many other great ones, but these are the ones I have used the most.

And seriously, why doesn't New Horizons have gyroids? If they ever re-introduced them, I might buy the game just to be able to put gyroids outside and be able to hear them while walking around my town/island.

I really like the Nebuloids. Those are my favorite. The Lullaboids and the Quazoids are an honorable mention. I hope the Gyroids return with the roost but I somehow doubt it.

Gargloid. It's tradition for me to put one in front of the mirror/sink in the bathroom of my house.

The nebuloids, quazoids, and dinkoids are my favourite sets overall!

Individually, my favourites are the squat nebuloid, slim quazoid, mega dinkoid, tall echoid, and mega squelchoid, but there are a lot of other really good ones as well.

Tall puffoids. It was actually among the first set of gyroids I ever found in the original, and over time I managed to find a few more which I used to line the entrance to my house (2 on each side). I took it a step further in City Folk and collected 8 of them, which I used on my second floor to line a path through a room designed as a sort of ruined temple type thing, with the path leading to a treasure chest and a mummy casket. It's honestly one of my favorite rooms I've made in the entire series despite how relatively simple it is.

Nebuloids and Brewstoids were my favorite, Freakoids get an honorable mention though because I always found them to be funny.

I hope the Gyroids return with the roost but I somehow doubt it.

i’m not sure if they count, but the brewstoids are definitely my favourite! i just love how unique they are and honestly, gyroids that look like brewster was such a genius idea imo. :’)

howloids for sure they encompassed how I felt. I can just imagine how cool it would be to add a bunch in a forested area where you couldn't really see them ugh. They would do soooo much good for creepy towns everywhere.

My favourite gyroid is the Scatteroid! ❤

I also think the Jingloid is really cute, and I haven't come across a Whirroid yet in ACNH, so I'm waiting to see one of those too!
