Favorite Animal Crossing-Related Memory?

Just been feeling nostalgic thinking about playing Animal Crossing after being away from New Leaf for so long. What is your favorite AC related memory? Mine is back in college when a couple of my friends would get together during winter and spring break and go to our local pool, swim and chill, and head to one of our homes to play New Leaf together. It was so fun visiting their towns.

Hmm I would have to say just learning about the game at first. I used to go to my next door neighbors house, she had a GameCube and we would play Mario Kart, and then she introduced me to Animal Crossing. I remember her letting me create my own character that moved into town, sending letters to each other, fishing. Planting money for money trees! UGH. It was so much fun that summer! I can't believe it was so long ago, but it was great.

A guy I like and I used to spend hours playing NL together, we had so much fun together with it. It made even the boring and dull moments exciting and fresh. We also would just sit around and talk about the gamecube version and we really did bond over this game which is odd but it brought us together in a weird way.

I don't think I really have a specific memory tied to animal crossing, it's pretty much woven throughout my whole life haha. Playing with my mom though and having something we share and get excited for is really neat. Just knowing that my game is waiting for me is nice, it brings a little magic to everyday life.
Edit: just remembered catching a coelecanth for the first time in the GC game and running to my mom super excited. And then I wowed my friends at school the next day because we just happened to have a trivia thing going on and coelecanth was the answer to a question.

Mine would be me and my best childhood friend playing Wild World together when we were at a holiday resort. AC in general always reminds me of that resort and the happy memories!

I tend to watch acnl twitch streams, so it's always fun to play along with the streamer and discuss acnl!
