Any fast way to get rid of that unwanted villager? Hippeaux is moving in, he moved right on my path, and now I can't get a cranky or Hamlet. :(

Also, would the reset method work to stop someone from coming in or would they have moved in no matter what?

For the reset method I think someone will always try to move in, but it will be a different villager every time... Unless they come from the campsite, then only the location of the house will change :)

To get rid of Hippeaux, except for TTing there isn't any fast way... Some people say you have to ignore them completely, others say you just have to act normal like with the other villagers... If I were you I would just make the best of it :) He will move eventually ;3

Commenting on the ignoring them compared to acting normal. It's very hard to ignore someone in my town. Hah. And, I talk to them normally, and I feel that it is completely random when they ping you. But, I also TT a lot so maybe going through day to day causes them to feel ignored. -shrugs-

For the reset trick, if it's just a random villager moving in (rather than one from the campsite or someone else's town) then it's possible to prevent someone moving in for the first six days. Just reset until you can't find a plot and then save. From the seventh day there is a 100% chance of a plot appearing.

My preferred method of getting a villager out is the 2 days forward/2 days back trick. If you use it immediately after a villager has moved in (still unpacking) then you won't lose a villager in the process.
