Fastest way to get Town Permit?

I just started my town but how can I get my permit faster? I want to participate in Toy Day, but I don't think your villagers talk about their presents until after you get the permit.. So, how did you get your permit? I'm looking for ways to get it fast.

Make sure to water all your flowers! That'll boost your rating. Also, complete requests for villagers.

Pull weeds, donate a lot of things to the museum (I think this one gives you a lot of points), sell things at re-tail, talk to your villagers, etc. Basically the kind of stuff you'd do daily anyway. I got mine in two days just playing how I'd play on my other towns.

It will only take a couple of days if you work hard. Talk to the villagers a lot, mail letters, do any favor they ask of you, pull weeds, donate to the museum, leave a message on the bulletin board, sell at Re-Tail and water flowers. Also, don't leave any items on the ground; they see it as trash.

Fishing up a load of trash helps a lot.

Basically just talk to your villagers, be nice to them, keep your town clean and water plants, blah blah blah all that. You'll have it way before Christmas.

plant flowers.
sell fruit.
talk to villagers / do them favors.
pick tons of weeds.

continue to ask isabelle for help.
time travel a lot. thats what i had to do.

1-2 villagers talked about their presents the same day I started (thursday) and I got my permit yesterday/today. So don't worry
