Was wondering if anyone has been integrating the vegetable crops in a way that isn't a standard farm, and if you have screenshots. I put sugar cane in my jungle area to make it look a little more wild-grown. Not sure what to do about tomatoes, carrots, etc.
I don’t have a farm area, so I’ve been scattering my crops all around. I have some potatoes and carrots around my in game junkyard. I also have pumpkins by my carnival. The wheat I’m planning on placing on one of my beach areas. The sugarcane and tomatoes are odd looking so I have to figure those out. It won’t be on a farm that they’ll go though. My town isn’t rural, so I have no farm areas.
Wheat reminds me of Foxtails. So maybe put those in some wild area for a grass land or near water?
Are you ok with the idea of a villager having a small garden near their house? That could help with the tomatoes and carrots since they kinda stand out.
I had a small farm area before the update (for pumpkins) so I'm just going to expand it but I'd rather do something like that if I could. I like the idea of placing wheat elsewhere but my villagers already have yards or decoration outside their houses so I can't make a yard for some of the crops (plus, I don't think they'd fit any of my current villagers).
I took out one of my mini orchards (had one on each side of my island) to create crop plots. My island is rural, so it fits. The area looks a lot more open, but I tend to leave the crops in place, so the colors add something. I also tried to plant with the taller ones to the back, so it doesn't obscure things.
So I have a gothic town and there’s a part with an enchanted forest. In my enchanted forest part I have lots of flowers, dead trees, glowing moss ponds, boulders, and vines. I scattered my crops in there randomly so that it looks more wild. I only kept maybe 2-3 of each crop because that’s really only as much as I need to use anyways, as long as I’m harvesting every time they’re ripe.
