Uh.. similar to farming any other NPC. I farmed gullivarr a little too much already just trying to get side way barrels. End up with 100+ items.

Have multiple user on your island. 3+ users and catalog items you don't want with them. Cuts down on load screens and gullivarr wakes up right away. Do not open the mailbox the next day and keep farming him with turn of day method or farm another npc on another day. Gullivarr only give items you didn't catalog. I have 10+ cannons, chest, and barrels.

I have Gullivarr today but I've never time travelled! To be honest, I'm kind of tempted! Mama needs a treasure chest!!

I mean the bottle neck is the load screens if you have 3+ users it cuts back the load screen and you don't have to find him multiple times.
