farming or buying?

I usually try to farm items first! When I’ve reached the point where I’ve gone back and forth way too much time to count and still don’t get the item I want, that’s the time that I’ll give in and buy. Happened to me when I’ve looked for the genuine valiant and tremendous statues. Ended up just buying them on here and even to this day I still haven’t stumbled upon real versions of them on redd’s boat.

Some items I'll trade and buy from others. If there's something I'd like to complete on my island that day that wouldn't be feasible otherwise, I'll seek out some extra help as there's a a catalog limit. There has also been times I've bought bells to save time.

One of the things that makes this game fun for me is that you can play it with others, trading items is one part of that: I like knowing that my item makes someone else happy, and I like getting stuff I can put to good use in return

I do farm for my own materials for crafting, but when it comes to objects or DIYs, I trade or buy

A balance of both but farming for items is what has kept my interested in the game. Without farming for Redd art or Gulliver items I don't know what I would be up to lol.

I usually "farm" I guess. I don't spend hours and hours stocking up on supplies, but when I run out of wood for example, I'll collect as much as I need for whatever DIY I'm trying to make.

I tend to buy way more than I farm, and even then I have never intentionally farmed anything. The closest I’ve gotten to this is visiting Flick/Redd twice while time travelling for an unrelated task. I really enjoy trading, and if I can help take an item off someone’s hands that they’re not using, then all the better

a mix of both, but if I'm feeling impatient/ want to get something done quickly then I'll usually prefer to buy (mainly for artwork and seasonal clothes since those take a while to get)

I typically wait until it shows up in my shop or whatever, but if it’s something really specific that I need like a certain DIY or item then I’ll buy it, mostly because it’ll drive me crazy to try to wait because it could take forever

I farm it all myself. If I am gonna spend resources its gonna be for hard to get stuff like paintings, rusted parts and star fragments

online trading kind of scares me lol so most of the time i just grind. the only time ill trade for anything in-game is if i literally cant get it single player, like some of the nook miles exclusive furniture colors, since those are connected to your air port which you cant change f.
like ive only really traded for a differently colored pool

I'm really stingy spending any kind of point or currency in games. I have more than enough bells, tons of nook miles and a good amount of tbt.

Yet I'd rather farm as much as possible and if I need to spend, it'll be tbt over anything else.
I'm big on trading items for other items.

It's so random that I don't farm... unless it's something I can easily get (like the mermaid or seasonal diys, fossils, hybrids, etc.)

If it's a specific item in a specific color, or a regular diy, I trade for it. I do like to breed my own flowers and complete my museum with things acquired on my island.

Depends on what it is. I think I have a good balance of buying what I want and earning it for myself.
