Hi Can I lurk for Chrissy?

Added your name to the list :)

Lurking basically means that you're looking for/interested in a certain villager.

Users write "Lurking for _____" and then I add them to my list. When their desired villager is in boxes, I will send them a message notifying them. I have a few rules for adopting villagers. One of them is that I don't reserve villagers. Once a villager is in boxes, it's a first come first serve kinda situation ;)

Sorry if this wasn't helpful. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions!

Hiii, I asked first for Beau when you posted that Beau is new in your cycling town, but you write the name of Remnantique in the lurking list, who asked for Beau after of me.

You posted about reserving Beau and since I do not reserve villagers, I just ignored it (sorry). Now it has become clear to me that you meant to lurk for Beau, so I just added you to the list as well ;)

Update regarding lurker notifications and adoption.

I have reconsidered my own rules regarding lurkers adopting their desired villager. In the past I sent out notifications, but did not allow lurkers to adopt the villager right away if it was a Tier 1-2. I always made a public selling thread and the only advantage lurkers had on high tier villagers, was knowing when that selling thread would appear. The reason for this was that I didn't want to "reserve" the villagers for the lurkers, even if it was just an hour. In my mind it would not go well with my other rule: no reservations. Therefore, that 1 hour time frame for lurkers was considered by me as "reserving".

However, I have changed my mind on this matter. From now on I will allow lurkers to adopt a villager after being notified, but must still meet these requirements:

1) Must have space in his/her town;
2) Must be available to pick-up villager right away (no holding);

And for Tier 1-2 villagers only:
3) Pay the adoption fee.

This way I hope to make it more fair to the lurkers. The 1 hour period will be exclusive to all lurkers, who will be the first to know when their villager is in boxes and the only ones able to adopt within that time frame. I call this the "lurker privilege".

In a situation where an hour has passed and none of the lurkers has reached out to me, the villager will be available to everyone.
