There is a festival event going on for this month where you collect sparkly things on the track to earn special badges and a different looking boost and spin attack. You can also get character badges of Captain Falcon, Samurai Goro, and such by defeating him. I've seen shiny golden versions of these character badges on rival players pilot cards. I can't figure out how to unlock the shiny golden character badges.
