explain how long a second is without using the word "second"

also no using google, lmao

after first, before third

oh wait did you mean like the time unit

A second is the second division by 60 of an hour, which is 1/24th of how long it takes for the sun to reach the same place in the sky 2 times.

(1 hour / 60 = 1 Minute / 60 = 1 Second)

60 minutes make 1 hour right?

Then what the number 1 will be on time?

Oh right....

There ya go

We all know that a second is 1/60 of a minute which is 1/60 of an hour which is 1/24 of an "average" day. That definition is stupid and arbitrary. It would make more sense to have a 10 hour day (no AM/PM) with 100 minutes per hour and 100 seconds per minute. There would be 100,000 seconds in a day versus the current 86,400, so a second would be slightly shorter. Unfortunately it will never happen because that would be a total change from what everyone is used to and basically every existing clock would be useless and have to be replaced.

Also, the calendar should be gutted and replaced with just the four seasons and days counting up to 91 or 92 each season.

the metric system is better, I agree

I think your version is arbitrary too. I think we should go even further. I propose we all use atomic clocks instead and measure all time intervals in periods of frequency emitting from a caesium atom. There is no more accurate way to measure time, so it is best.
