Hi everybody, I know there’s a lot of threads about joy-con drift but I’m curious what everyone’s experience has been with the switch lite, especially while playing NH.
I bought mine back in April and after only a month I started experiencing some drift. I’ve noticed the drifting happens more if I’ve been playing a lot but will calm down if I haven’t been on much. I’ve also noticed it acts up more while playing NH than any other games.
I haven’t seen or heard anything personally, but has Nintendo said anything about releasing newer/improved versions of their switch consoles? Has anyone successfully fixed this issue with their switch lite?

I have my switch since like 6 month or so now and I have not have any problems yet and in cross my fingers that it won't occur hahah. But very curious to see what other pp say

I’ve had mine since a little before animal crossing came out and no problems with drifting yet.

I got my lite back in July. I’m not taking any chances so I’m using a spare pro controller most of the time when I play. I’ve probably only used the joycons a dozen times or so out of the many, MANY times I’ve played on my island on my lite.

I got the Lite in May and played it until mid-September. I hadn't heard of Joy-Con drift issues until it's recently come up in the forums; I played with the Pro Controller 95% of the time simply out of comfort.

I got my Switch Lite in May and it happens constantly; not sure when it started. I wasn’t aware this was the joycon drift until recently. Not sure what to do about it; it is annoying but at least it still works. I assumed nothing could be done about it, so, I am interested to know if this can be fixed as well, though gamestop has still not answered my email about taking a look at switch lites.

I bought Lite back in February, no Joycon problems (yet) and it's got close to 1000 hours of play on it between me and my daughter.

I bought the lite a few days after the animal crossing release date and have played it pretty consistently since. I don't think I've experienced joycon drift as of yet - there was a short period of time where the joycon was a little funky and wouldn't let me run or whatever, but I think I just had something stuck under it so after a quick wipe it's been fine ever since

i didn't even know you could get it on the lite, it's one of the reasons i stopped playing on my regular switch because the drift got too annoying, i've not had any issue since i got mine back in march/may and i play it for hours every day basically thanks to lockdown

I bought my lite back in March a week before ACNH was released. I have not had any problems with it . Hopefully it stays that way.

I've had mine since pretty soon after they came out and I've put about 900 hours on the game. I've had it drift a little bit from time to time, but it hasn't become a persistent problem yet. When it does I'll probably go get some 99% isopropyl alcohol and do the thing they recommend you do.

I got my Pokemon edition Switch Lite last year and have put in over 800 hours into Animal Crossing. So far I haven't noticed any problems. I tend to play heavily for a while then take a break for a few days.

Wait, what do they recommend to do ?

I only own a Switch Lite. Been playing the game daily since release date. Already clocked in around 700 hours and still had no issues with the game and the console.

I've had my Switch Lite since they were released last year and played ACNH exclusively for three or four months after I got the game on March 20 and I haven't had any drift problems with my machine.

I Play my System and game from day one. I Got the pokemon system and the pokemon game and then AC. The only issue is wear dust getting on the contact at need to be blow out. So far the can of air clean it out and no input error if i keep the dust from the wear and tear out of the contact it work like normal.

At least when I last looked it up, the advice was to take a Q-tip, dip it in isopropyl alcohol, and use that to clean the area under the joystick. Looks like Nintendo don't actually want you doing that because the alcohol could deform the plastic parts idk. Alternative is to use contact cleaner

i’ve had my switch lite since early march and within a few weeks after new horizons’ release, i was already experiencing joycon drift. it wasn’t bad at first but as time has gone on, it’s definitely worsened; while still manageable, my character is continuously moving on her own, something that makes me anxious during trades as i don’t want someone thinking that i’m about to run off + browsing my extra diys that i have on the ground has become a bit more difficult since my ability to slowly inch forward (unless it does it on its own smh) has become almost nonexistent. ;c;
