You have to pay for virtual items... -_-;

what a waste of money, time, and life
actually, before i began playing FFXI, i spent more money on games than i spend a month on FFXI. every month for FFXI, it's like 10-15 dollars depending on how many extra characters you create to hold more items for yourself.

before i played, i was spending 60+ a week on games because every week i'd get bored of the games i had bought before, and go back to the used game store and get some more... i spent the same amount of time on the games i played before FFXI too. i could say you're wasting your life for playing animal crossing. video games are a hobby, just like people that paint, knit, or whatever do to pass their time...

the difference between FFXI and other games is my character is saved on a server and can never be deleted on accident, or lost on a memory card. if i quit playing for 2 years and think i may want to begin playing again, i can get my character back in the same exact condition it was on the day i quit playing. so really, it's not a waste as much as other games... it keeps going, and you can never really lose what you've done.
Umm... have you heard of blockbuster?

you can rent games there
i'm sorry? you can rent NES, SNES, N64, gamecube, regular playstation, sega genesis and regular XBOX games there?

or are you implying that all people play nowadays is wii, XBOX360, and Ps2/3 games? there are other games i like to play outside those realms... some of the best games ever made that will never be topped came out on those systems, which are sadly not available at your local blockbuster stores.

and before you say,"ok lol so why do you keep going back every week? those systems are like SO OLD OMG" - the games are rare, and there are hundreds/thousands for each console.
emulator. FREE.

sorry, but i prefer owning my games and being able to play them on a PC - partly because i don't own a PC able to play them. anymore questions you need answering before you can stop caring so much about how i spend my money/time/life? i mean this is a bit ridiculous, lol.

you play your games how you want, and i play mine. i don't call what you do a waste of money, time and life (and anyone else who plays on-line games that have to pay every month), so i'd appreciate it if you kept your little comments about how i suck because i don't do everything exactly like you off the forums.

Lol okay?

Anyways, I have noticed that free online games DO suck you in...thinking everything is free... BUT if you really want the good stuff... a lot of the times you have to go to their online store and buy cool items/outfits/weapons/armors/etc... you end up spending more money then if you payed a monthly fee on like say WoW or FFXI. Though there is a online game you can buy and has no monthly fee... anyone want to take a guess which one that is? =P

So anyways, I am done trying supposedly free MMO's... IF I ever play an MMO it will probably be a monthly fee one... because you can actually get the cool items and outfits IN game... without having to pay REAL money for them...

I hate the gaia forums.... here's why: (warning some foul language)
