As the title says, have you ever met someone famous? Have you queued up for hours at a premier or were you lucky enough to bump into a celebrity on the street?

Warning, massive wall of over excited text inbound!

I had the best experience ever today, Ed Sheeran came to the zoo I work at, we had to be all hush hush about it since he didn't want to be bombarded by fans but you could tell something was going to go down with how cheerful we all were. At first we didn't think we'd get to see him since he was being whisked around behind the scenes and would be going into our VIP room (in the restaurant I am located in) via the backdoor. But luckily our manager asked his PR lady very nicely if we could get a picture with him and he said YES!!! Now I'm not a massive Ed fan but he is in my top 10 so I was over the moon and the majority of our female dominated workforce was swooning :P He was so friendly thanking us for the nice day, the food and the ice cream, his PR lady took a professional picture of us (she is going to email it to the office for us to put up in our staff room) and then took a picture with one of our supervisors phones, picture in the spoilers below (btw everyone from work is okay with the picture being put online)

I am in the top row, second from the left (my stupid grin gives me away :P)

Also I met Steven Fry on holiday once while we were walking our dog, he said we had a very nice dog :3

So yeah, feel free to post pics if you want :D

Hardly famous but have met William Beck from casualty BBC

In Times Square, my sis and I saw Amanda Bynes. She was wearing very casual clothing: baggy pants, hoodie, sunglasses (obviously didn't want to be spotted) She had one stalker who kept asking her questions. My sis took a picture of her and we went on our way

And I have an autographed picture of Alexa Vega! We didn't technically meet, but someone she was close to ended up talking to me by chance and helped me get it. This was years ago and I lost the autographed photo D:

I haven't really met anyone that's a huge celebrity, but going to concerts has let me meet some of my favorite artists!
I've met the members from Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Family Force 5, Dance Gavin Dance, The Maine, Asking Alexandria, and the current singer of Escape The Fate.
(I really don't like Asking Alexandria, but I was having them sign something for a friend and the singer of Escape The Fate is one of my least favorite people, but he was just walking around so we asked to get a picture with him as a joke. He was super rude.)

I have never really met anyone incredibly famous - pretty sure if I mentioned who they are, only a handful of people would know them.

I did see Taylor Swift in concert, though. Does that count?

Don't know of this person is classed as famous but I've almost met a guy off YouTube as he was at Comic Con in Glasgow. Although I didn't actually meet him, I was close to him and it was cool. At the moment, he currently has over 3.6 million subscribers and is best known for the asdf movies.

The guy's name is TomSka.

I saw The National back in October and I high-fived Matt Berninger :)

I live in the middle of the Canadian prairies so I'm pretty sure no one famous has ever even been here.

they're just another human being

Rupert Graves, Steven Moffet, Andrew Scott, Brain May(!!!!!) Tom Hiddleston, Jenna Coleman, Noel Clark, John Leeson (voice of K( in Doctor who!) and Antony Head to name but a few!!

Lastest Marvel person i saw was Hayley Atwell from Agent Carter!

Though I didn't technically meet her, on my way to Lady Gaga's ARTRave concert, I was stopped at a red light.
I look over to my left and inside the car next to me was Lady Gaga! She was in the passenger seat, and had 3 body guards in the car with her; one driving and two in the back seat.
I pulled my phone out to snap pics but I felt like it made her uncomfortable, so I put my phone away. She ended up waving at me and blowing me a kiss. Talk about great timing.
One of my favorite experiences ever! :)

Was able to see her pretty much front row at the show as well. Not because of the incident before, but we had great tickets.
To some people it was just whatever, but as a huge fan, it was really exciting to me.

This is the only pic I got of her in the car before I put my phone away.

This was my spot at her show.

The most famous American people I've met are Johnny Depp, Mister Rogers (are you guys too young to know who he is?) and Bill Cowher, and old Pittsburgh Steelers football coach. In Japan, I've met Abe Hiroshi, Nakata Yasutaka, and a few politicians since my friend works in politics. When I lived in Hawaii, I always spotted a lot of celebrities but couldn't actually talk to/meet them.

met dara o'briain once when he was giving a talk

also "met" david cameron, in a pub in oxford

we asked if we could have the rest of his wine when they left (and succeeded)

I just realised you must work at colchester zoo :D I've been there lots of times :) I live in south essex so its about an hour drive

I met the drummer of my favorite band back in 2008 (The Devil Wears Prada) and I also got to say hi to Jack from All Time Low lmao this was all at warped tour. I also saw Rev Run out and about last year with his family, which was really random, but then I found out he was around town for some event he was doing. But I wouldn't say I've met anyone really famous.

Jealous you got to meet Ed! I've been to one of his concerts and he seems like a cool guy.

I met Joe Rogan after seeing him live at a local comedy club. The comedian who opened for him stopped my friend and I as we were leaving and started asking us about which local bars we recommended, and Joe came out of the dressing room and started chatting with us. He was really friendly and fun to talk to... though I was at least 6" taller than him in my heels which was a little weird. -_-

I also know lots of "famous" people from the MLG community, if that counts.
