Ever have a crisis of confidence?

I built my original town over months, learning as I went. My new town is coming together much faster and in a more orderly fashion due to that experience. So, I started having a crisis of confidence in my original town tonight. I went through cutting down trees, tearing up paths, moving flowers all over the map, planning to demolish lots and lots of PWPs. I worked at it a couple of hours. Then, I hit the home button and closed. I lost a few ice items I had collected during that time, but I really don't think I'd ever be happy with my town if I just blew it all up in one night like that. I'm hoping if I get a path pattern I like better and just take a more judicious look at tweeking things instead of changing EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW!, I'll get back to loving my town like I did two, three days ago.

But, I've learned one thing for sure: I hate lilies and violets. HATE them. Ugly @#*& flowers.

I like lillies, especially their colours, but holy god do I agree about violets. Also, the fact that white and purple ones are useless for hybrid breeding makes them really annoying to me.

Blue Violets are the only violets I like. I like Lilies. I don't mind cosmos, but they look so frail and boy oh boy why did they remove blue cosmos.

I'm actually about to do the same thing in my town (which I've had since release and is my only town). It was sort of cobbled together as I went, built around villagers moving in and out... and my space isn't utilized well. My town feels tiny.

Just don't demolish your bridges, they're nearly impossible to replace.

Yes I do, because I'm scared other won't like it, but then I remind myself to the fact that I'm the one who has to like it and then I just carry on.

I've had doubts about my town before, about the layout and about certain rock placements, wondering if I should have kept resetting for a better town back on release date. I came to realize that although there are some imperfections and things I don't like about my town, there are also many things I like about it and that I'm proud of. And I've come so far and gotten attached enough to my town that I kind of just want to "see it through" at this point!

Haha, I looove lilies and violets, and they're the primary flowers I have in my town! I like that they have a unique petal shape, kind of star-shaped, compared to the other flowers, and I love how lilies and violets look together. But to each their own, like Merelfantasy said!

I've considered ripping my town up and completely redoing it before, but I've never done it. I put a lot of work into my town, and although it's not perfect I'm happy with it.
I always confuse which are lilies and which are violets, but I don't like either so oh well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I would never dream of demolishing the whole place. I know some people start from scratch when they get bored, but I don't plan to do that. My town does look better to me after a good night's sleep, but now I'm back in my new town and do think I prefer the way it looks more.
