Have you ever had that one moment in game where you had to process for a moment about what you did, or anything accidental that you pretty much called yourself an idiot?

I had that one moment when I accidentally pressed the down button on the D-button, which made my character put its tool away. I frantically pressed the up button on the D-button but stopped and realized what I just attempted.

I'd like to hear stories of any other mistakes anybody has made. :)

Up until recently, I didn't even really know about the AC community, villager trading, or any of that fun stuff. I've had my town for well over a year and have had a good handful of top tier villagers pass through. Ah, the trades I could've made! ; A;

Same here! I had my game for a year and only had one other friend I played with occasionally until I found this website.

For me, it's plot resetting. Every time I plot reset, I end up accidentally starting up with my main at some point. Luckily there hasn't been any major casualties *knocks on wood*...

Well, there was a time I kept burying shovels, trying to figure out why they wouldn't turn golden after a day...

I just spent so long trying to kick Ahnkha out and she left today. About 5 mins ago I found out she's top tier :(
I've no idea how to sell or buy villagers though

Digging up a hybrid trying to bury a fertilizer next to it.. Or digging up a bush when planting new ones next to it xD

Messing up the color patterns when planting bush starts (like when I'm going for white-pink-white-pink pattern and I accidently plant two pinks in a row) so I have to dig them up and fix them again .__.

Wiping away my paths when I'm picking up items..

Please tell me I'm not the only one..... when I do these I feel really dumb xD

Accidentally selling my watering can to Reese. Oh, wait, no, that was the best thing I've ever done! Because I created an account on here to ask someone for a watering can! :)

Planting a pitfall to make a villager fall in it and having them accidentally push ME into it instead. I've done that to friends too. They just laugh at me. Whoops.

Dug up a lovely blue rose.

sold my silver watering can.

Turned off the power before saving. Too bad I had been playing for over an hour.

Yesterday, I couldn't find my net. I must have sold it.

I was recently plot-resetting my newest villager for a decent house placement. 2 days of doing it on and off made it hard to keep focus so I would multi-task. Instead of exiting the game as I usually did when the house was in a bad spot, I must have saved it at one point without even realizing it.

So the placement became permanent, which I discovered only after the 20th time it showed up in the same spot and I ended up having to make major adjustments to my layout, shift bridges and all that jazz.

Moral here: don't distract yourself on youtube when plot-resetting for extended periods of time :(

I always found the clam shell music boxes to be useless and stupid since I thought it would play the regular song. Well I tried it out and discovered that it truly sounds like music box! Duh!

I decided to use one of my spots where I wanted a villager to move in for breeding blue pansies, and then while plot resetting my most recent villager, I forgot to remove them before I started. It was pretty likely that she would move into that spot again, but I was too lazy to TT back to the day I got her, and I didn't want to risk her deciding not to move there again.

I did have one that would have been dumb, as well. There was one Sunday, I think, where I bought turnips, then I made a thread so someone could take Monique from me, who was moving out a few days later. I found someone, and as I was TT'ing, I remembered that the turnips might rot if I TT'ed to that day, or when I TT'ed back.

In the end it worked out really well, though. I wasn't sure it would happen, and I ended up doing it, anyway, since it was only 500k worth of turnips, so they didn't have to wait. The turnips didn't rot, and the price was actually decent on the day I TT'ed to.

Had Julian moving in first town, I didn't like him so I voided him. Had no idea people would pay 15 mil for him >.<

I was trying to plot reset for O'Hare but instead of TTing to 5:58 AM of the day after I adopted him, I TTed to the morning of the day I adopted him.. the next thing I saw was his house built on the wrong spot. After that whenever I TT I always use the 3ds clock settings instead of talking to Isabelle

Swinging my net around 8 times in a row like a madman and failing to capture a common butterfly flying around. Funny, cause rare beetles on a tree is easy but a flying common butterfly takes two million swings to capture.
