ever felt betrayed?

i Used to have muffy. she, midge, & tabby were my best friends in my game ((btw, never thought tabby would be bottom tier :-((( i love her so much))

after not playing for like a month, i picked it up again on my birthday, little birthday party at midges house with tabby muffy & her. thought it was super cute cause tbh ive never participated for my birthday in any previous animal crossing game ((i would get bored before i got to my bday cause i also never time traveled)). after that i did other things i usually did for the day; went to the island, check turnips, watered flowers, etc. i TT to the next day & there isabelle says "Oh btw mayor alice? Muffy is moving tomorrow :-( you should see her go" ..or w.e she says..
anyways, i was just ???????????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i overreacted & tried TT backwards ((this is in the beginning days of my acnl so i didnt kno better)) but ya she moved.

ive never felt so betrayed by a video game. the only one who remains is Tabby. Midge also moved unexpectedly, but at least she mailed me her portrait, unlike a certain somebody >:-//. tabby once gave me her portrait as a gift but then i heard from another villager that she was planning on moving & i was like i dont think so tabby & stopped her.

Roughly the same thing happened to me with Erik. One day he gave me his pic and told me I was his best friend and the next day he left

I was so sad when Peaches left. I was on a hiatus and there was nothing I could do about it. She left me her picture though. She was the only villager who did that

It happens. Sprinkle was one of my starters in my very first AC town and she left without telling me (although I was also TTing back then). I felt really sad at the time because she was my best AC friend.

After your birthday party did you get the where have you been from your villagers? If not that sucks.
Usually they yell at you for been away for a month and than go back to normal. Than one of them pings or spills that someone leaving town.

I love the events but always dislike the rumor move out during them. They should have villagers birthdays, your birthday and holidays off limit for villagers moving. Those holidays are programmed into the game so there is no reason to ruin it. Lolly was celebrating her birthday and I got the rumor that she was moving. Panic and TT to the next day since the party goes till midnight. Thankfully she pinged me right away. I would have freaked out.
