Ever ‘dated’ a villager?

Clay seems to have a crush on me. I brought him medicine today and he blushed and was all like "you're my hero, boss". This isn't the first incident like this, this has been going on for quite a while now, it's kinda amusing.

I don't really return the feelings tho... I'm more fascinated by Tom Nook, to be honest. I just like hanging around in the Resident Services building and ever since I found out that you can make Tom Nook blush... well that's basically become a favorite thing for me to do in the game. I mean really, he's just so cute!

I never 'dated' any villagers, but I did (and still do) see many of them as if they were good friends, siblings, mentors... I liked making up my own backstory and figuring out my relationship to everyone else in the town, but not in a romantic way or anything.

I never imagined any of my villagers as 'dating' either.
