i recently restarted my town with the idea to loosely base it on V?k ? M?rdal, Iceland. it's not entirely possible (no way to get black sand on the beach, no real visible mountain, etc.) which is why i said loosely, but it will be fun recreating the look as much as i can. the real village in Iceland is home to around 300 people and is shadowed by the active volcano, Katla. the iconic little red church stands tall on a small hill. it's a beautiful, surreal place that i dream of visiting one day. here's a picture of the church:

really, i'm sure i'm not alone in this, so tell me about your town! i'm super curious haha

i honestly haven't, but it seems like a good idea

if i ever were to, i'd probably base it off of sweden/new zealand or some cool place like that

new zealand would be amazing! there's so much diversity in geography there but it's all so beautiful. islands are the coolest places.

and yeah, i've never done this before, either. usually my AC towns are just random, i create as i go, but i wanted to try something new

My AC town is called Yamaska. Really close to where I live, there's a town called Yamaska. It is a very small town, and the town is surrounded by a river, which is also called Yamaska (La rivi?re Yamaska).

It's that kind of small town where it's really peaceful and quiet, and where people live slowly... Just like in AC.

My family had a town that was based off of Connecticut, which was where we lived at the time. It was named CA. It wasn't in New Leaf, though. It was in Animal Crossing GameCube.

my family did that for our copy of the GC game! esp since i was playing it when i was so young lol. each of my family members had a character and "role" in the town. only my dad had the patience to send off all the fossils in letters, so that was his job... haha

My AC town is based on Luxembourg, Luxembourg ! I think this is a beautiful city which is still an ancient-looking town, I don't know if you understand me. However, I love this town and I decided to try to make an Animal crossing village similar to Luxembourg city ! c:
