Eurovision Song Contest

For people who don't know what it is, it's a singing contest that countries in Europe enter and if you win it you get to hold it in your country the next year.

I'm cheering for Ireland as it is where I'm from and I'm glad that they got through to the final which is on Saturday night. 39 countries entered this year and the presenter said that the final on Saturday night will be telivised in 44 countries, one of them being Australia!

Lol they came like fifth two years ago but then did terrible last year. Ireland have won it seven or eight times altogether which is the most times ever

The public have 25% control of the votes and then some crew at the eurovision vote aswell

This actually only happens in the semi-finals. In the finals the public have 100% control of the votes.

I knew that Denmark would win and it is very embarrassing for Ireland as we came last with 5 points. If Ireland were in central Europe somewhere then I think we would have done really good

This is proof that countries vote for their neighbouring countries. I think that there was only 3 eurovision songs that made it on to it, they were the Swedish song, the Irish song and the Danish song. Then for the voting, Sweden gave Ireland 2 points when we were one of the only eurovision songs on the Swedish charts.
