So I have an extra 3DS and another copy of the game. I am thinking about setting up my secondary game to be an Escrow service town that people can come to for mutual trading. A town where it doesn't matter what you do. Simply a place for people to trade items. That way neither party risks anything in their own town. I have seen many post where people get flowers Etc stolen.
I was contemplating changing a service fee for the use of this town and the hassle of adding and removing people from the friends list.
So my questions are:
1. Good idea or bad?
2. What would be a fair service charge?
3. Are there any rules or limitations you would impose?
Fire away your thoughts, comments, etc. - If there is enough interest I will probably do this. I foresee it being a good deal of work so I am on the fence about it.
I was going to do this originally, But it is a hassle if you trade a lot to sort Friends on that 3DS as well as your own. And some people have pretty full Friend lists, so I would feel rude asking to use up 2 of their spaces.
I mainly trade via the BF feature amoung a small group from my main town though. I rarely risk the Re-tail board.
The intent is to have only people trading on that DS list while they are trading then remove them. It is not meant to be a permanent list except for myself on the list as the moderator....
Nothing more then Neutral trading ground. My friends are on my MAIN 3DS... Since we are all good friends we all trade that way. This was more for strangers to be able to safely trade.
Just a concept... I don't know if people actually would like to have this type of option.
It seems like there isn't very much in this for you. If it were me, I personally wouldn't go through the hassle and would instead enjoy having a beautiful second town.
As I had mentioned just a concept. My initial thought was too much work as well. Apparently this seems to be the consensus. I do not need a second beautiful town at the moment. Guess it will just sit around until I need it for something..
It's a cool idea but yeah... it's too much of a hassle. Not only that but that means if I want to trade using your town, I gotta hope the person I'm buying from/selling to is online AND that you're online. x.x
It seems like way too much of a hassle for something as minor as trading. Rather than do all that, just stipulate to the person you're trading with not to leave the train station area. If they do, flip the Wireless switch. Much easier than adding people as friends on a second 3DS.
