I need a lazy villager for the reactions and I love them both but I really should not get two lazy deer. I was most attracted to Beau at first just appearance wise and still think he looks pretty unique, but Erik has grown on me. I'm also Canadian so it'd kinda cool to have a moose. Currently I don't plan on keeping them forever, but knowing me I will probably grow attached and let them say. What are your experiences with these two villagers?

I prefer Erik but is he a moose or an elk? I like his house with all the ice furniture.
I’ve never had Erik, but I have Beau and he’s a total cutie pie and sweetheart! He’s very kid-like for example when he says “it’s me, Beau!” It makes me giggle because of course I know who you are you silly deer. I also love how his eyes are half closed but when he makes certain expression they are very blue and wide open. He’s adorable.
I prefer Erik. I love the color palette of his character, he's more "natural" looking than Beau if you get what I mean. I'm also biased because I had both of them living in my town in New Leaf at one point (both random move-ins) and it just clicked better with Erik for me then!
i prefer beau. i might be biased since he’s been one of my absolute favourites since prior to new leaf releasing in NA but i love him a lot - i’ve had him in both new leaf and now in new horizons and he’s so wonderful. he’s the epitome of innocence and he loves fishing and just sitting under a tree and chilling - he’s also so, so adorable like he’s a literal baby and i love him. erik is adorable, too, but i highly prefer beau ^~^ and plus, he tells corny jokes just like i do lol

I have Erik as my original Lazy. And I will be parting with him because I want to phase out the generic houses. (“New Horizons” should not have bothered with those unless the animals were going to be treated as special—like being able to fully upgrade their houses as can humans.)
A thought recently occurred to me: Have some of my islanders be permanent. Rotate with others. And perhaps a good way to do it is by season-appropriate casting. Erik is ideal for Christmas. My “New Leaf” town Toy Day could not have been worthy of a Dream without Erik. (I see Beau as appropriate in not winter but spring. That is with a comparison in mind.)
I have the amiibo cards. I bought them right out of the gate with the September 2015 release of “Happy Home Designer.” So, I have a good amount of freedom. And this has me at peace with being able to make some of these decisions as I keep in mind the calendar, here in July 2020, as it continues to move forward.

Beau fits the lazy personality a lot more than Erik for me, I had both at the same time and never really liked Erik at all. Beau is adorable with his deadfish eyes similar to Punchy. I’d go for Beau over Erik anytime!
Somewhat biased obviously. I adore Beau - he has the most endearing personality. He plays well with others. He's like a young little kid around the other villagers. If you look past the fact he is forever getting fleas he's a beaut! He will forever be my number one villager and resident of Hobbiton.
That said I do also love Erik and plan to have him join my island at some point in the future. From what I have seen of him in limited interactions he seems pretty awesome. House interior is pretty awesome also!

I like both. I have both their amiibos so am able to switch between the 2 if I want to do so. I’ve had Erik in my current town but gave him to someone who’s dreamy he was, I’ve not had Beau yet as I’ve got around 50 amiibo cards so only had a handful in my town! They are both aesthetically pleasing and are very cute. Eriks house is lovely and when he left he left me a frozen bed in the recycle box!
I love beau's whole aesthetic and his lazy/sleepy vibe as it relates to me a lot. His house is also very natural and chill, so it fits in with a more nature themed island. I have no experience with erik on the other hand, but from my own first hand experiences as well as my friends that i've talked to about villagers, Beau seems like the most obvious choice in my opinion.

I had both Beau and Erik and... I, honestly, prefer Erik. I like his winter aesthetic, and he's sooo sweet. Beau, on the other hand, looks a little bit creepy to me, mostly because of his face. Personal preferences, I guess.
