On the following event listing page on thonky, on March first through third it mentions a few Japanese event items.

The Nooklings' shop sells Hinaningyou and the Blossom Lantern. The Ables' shop sells the Emperor's Cap and Empress's Tiara Wig.

This is the only place I see mention of the Empress's Tiara Wig. Would that be a different name fro the Girl's Day Updo?

It does have the same date's listed. I might have gotten that event mixed up with Children's day where you get the newsprint helmet.

It is the Girl's Day Updo in my game. Things are listed differently in other regions. I had a Japanese person help me with the Harvest set a while ago, that was confusing. Also their Kicks was "Shoe Shank" and Club LOL was "Club 444".

I'm not sure about the shoe shank thing, but I think the number 4 is synonymous with joy or good luck in japan. (don't beat me if I'm wrong)
