So for my town it took almost a full year before anyone even once came up to me to give me a pwp to try and build. Even with the diving suit trick, i never got a project to appear from them for most of the time. Is there an easy way to get projects? As i said it took forever to get even 1 project suggested and it was just a bridge that i happened to of not wanted. Im really wanting the police stations for my town.

I find the easiest way is the diving method. Sometimes it takes a while, but that's the easiest way I know of.
A couple tips that make it go a bit faster:
-fill pockets with flowers/unidentified fossils. This stops them from trying to buy/sell things from you.
-'trap' villagers by digging holes. This is useful if you're trying to get a specific pwp that only one personality type suggests.
Sorry that these are just tips you hear everywhere else, but as far as I know, there is no easier way.

the diving trick really is helpful! usually the first villager i see after diving pings me, and if your pockets are full with flowers or bells then they wont sell/buy anything.
