Earth Day??

Is anyone one else confused/worried we still havent heard anything about Earth Day? Where I live (NZ) Earth Day Is tomorrow and im wondering why we dont have an update yet. Is it possible that they're not coinciding Earth Day with the real world Earth Day? I remember the Bunny Day update went live about 2 days before the event started so I was kind of expecting an update today.

What are your thoughts?

There's a scheduled maintenance tonight for the Nintendo Switch, which states "distribution of update data" which could be the update for Earth Day.

Edit: it appears to have recently been removed...

All I ask for in this update is that the villager glitches are fixed and included in this patch, as well as a long list of other demands.

there's the chance it was supposed to happen soon, but the current pandemic delayed everything. I read somewhere that since programmers cant really work from home, they have to go to work in odd hours to avoid high human traffic. It also seems to be why some glitches are taking long to fix

it could also just be coming later as scheduled but I feel like the pandemic is why updates from Nintendo hasn't been given. idk

Earth day is the 22nd. It isn't a huge holiday and they DID mention it in the direct.

Nintendo isn't obligated to give us all the details of every event they decide to release.

Maintenance is over and ACNH has no new updates. I don't think the maintenance had anything to do with ACNH specifically, given that it e/affected all games on NSO.

Would be pretty odd to delay an update that's intended to be played on a specific real-life day... though, I definitely don't blame them for any delays considering what's going on right now in the world.

Yup absolutely, Where I live it is already 6pm on April 21 so only 6 more hours until it officially starts in real life

It’ll already be Earth Day in other places by then. Tomorrow morning is the latest they can reasonably release it.

I'm mostly interested in the glitches being fixed.
I hope they're also patched up with this update. I have so many dupe recipes lying around basement that I'd love to give out but I'm still too scared to play with anyone online.

If there aren't any bug fixes in the Earth Day update, I think this forum is gonna explode in a very not nice way. Definitely not looking forward to that, if that comes to light...

So far, only a Mario Maker 2 update got dropped. Maybe Nintendo will posted about an AC update later today?
