Earth Day expectations?

as Earth Day is coming up pretty soon, what are everyone’s thoughts on what we can expect from the event? I’m personally very interested to see how NH incorporates it as I imagine it’ll be a little different from what we’ve seen in the other games, though I do think we’ll still get some sort of cool limited item!

Leif returns and gives you furnature based on how many weeds you have pulled so far. The more you have pulled the more you get.

I unfortunately expect it to get delayed, due to the current situation. Otherwise, we probably get a new/returning furniture series from Leif and hopefully an event that is not as intrusive as easter. Bushes would also be fitting

I hope we don't have to pull weeds again... My town doesn't have any. If I have to use a bunch of tickets to go to islands and find weeds, I'm going to be a little annoyed.

As someone who as been TTing to move amiibo's in, camper spawns, and such I am also loving the slow roll outs because I can't spoil stuff for myself either haha.

Leif to return some kind of flower or weed centred event, and maybe the ability to purchase bushes? It would also be cool if Leif was some sort of travelling NPC akin to Saharah who enabled you to purchase bushes. Or maybe the bushes could reproduce in the same way that bamboo does.

honestly have no expectations aside from maybe bushes? and it's probably better to go in with lower expectations anyways to not be disappointed with the result!
also i'm thinking that there'll probably some sort of crafting involved, but i don't know there'll be actually furniture or not! either way i'm excited for new content and things to look forward to!

I saved a bag of 99 of them though. Don’t know why but I did.

I’m not really expecting much tbh. It’s probably just going to be one of those events where you get handed an item and that’s it.

I would like bushes but what’s that going to mean? That bushes are tied to the Earth Day event?

They’re actually DIY recipes you can get in bottles and balloons! It’d be cool if their spawn rate was upped or they were just given out during the event, though.

No idea how they'll be doing smaller holiday events in NH, I wonder if it will be anything like in New Leaf where Isabelle just gives you a little gift but there's not much to do. I'm not sure if Leif will give out little gifts, if it will involve crafting items, or if he might announce his plans of at least doing a pop up shop with items such as bushes in the plaza (doubtful but I hope so).
