Duping to sell items...

I've noticed that some people are duping items to sell for tbt/igb... Is this allowed on belltree?

You could easily trace the FC to another site like Reddit or GFAQs and find links of the same person asking to dupe x item. It's not exactly concrete evidence, but it's darn close.

Wait, they are doing this on TBT, knowing the consequences? When I joined TBT, I learned that duping was not allowed before I made my very first post. Duping for yourself is fine, even though it's blatantly cheating, but giving it to another person is when it starts to become problematic. Even exchanging duped items for other duped items is also bad. So if anybody wants to offer a duped item for TBT, please talk to a mod about it. He or she will do the rest of the work.

And for a suggestion, if you're looking for something to sell to Bell Tree, I wouldn't reccommend getting them from GameFAQs or Reddit (or 4chan in case AC players use that site) since they are open to duping.

No I stalked the persons new threads. Bought ONE unorderable item for IGB here on this site and then suddenly has like 999999999999 of it....

It's pretty obvious that a lot of people on here dupe. They just don't talk about it. Theres always a chance that you could purchase a duped set or item on any ac site. Especially if it's very rare. Like the 7-11 set. And if the person selling the rare item didn't dupe it, they probably bought it from someone who did. People with unlimited unorderable items are more than likely duping. You can just choose not to buy from them.

We both know that a lot of gamefaqs users are also on tbt. They just don't say that their items are duped when they sell items here. In other words, duping is everywhere.

Duping is not allowed on the Bell Tree and if it's reported with proof that you are duping on another site and selling on the Bell Tree your shop will be closed and you will receive a warning. Yes, I know it sounds weird that we don't allow it but we specifically don't allow it because it risks screwing up peoples games. Another main reason is because the faster people go through getting everything they want in the game the faster they lose interest in the game and thus the faster they lose interest in the forum. We want people to be around for a long time and enjoy the game. If you dupe or have duped items, keep it to yourself.
