So I'm going to be giving/trading away my villagers today cause I've thought of a new town idea that better suites my playing and interest.

Question - After someone adopts a villager and you TT forward does that villager just chill in the void for a day or what? Assuming the fact that the adopter doesn't TT.

Prob. they stay in the void for a few days and then they find a spot to plop their house if the person doesn't TT.

I don't think an adopted villager ever goes in the void, even if the adopter doesn't TT, your game knows that this villager went to a certain town.

Well if they aren't in your town or their future town yet. Chances are they have to be in the void right?

For your game, they are in the other person's village, and I think it's all that matters. Maybe I'm wrong though, but that's what seems logical to me ^^'

I don't think you could say they go into the void. The void implies that the villager can possibly be picked up by connecting with other players (through streetpass or wifi), which is definitely not the case with adopted villagers. Like Delphine said, your game knows they've gone to the other player's town. When they're not in your town anymore (due to TTing) and haven't arrived in the other person's town yet either (due to not TTing), I would just visualize them being on the train to the other person's town or something. :)

Once someone comes to pick up the villagers, when you end the session, the villager will not be there anymore(The house is still there) if you click the door, it says "Moved out". They're not in the void, they're in the other town already until they're able to put their house down ^^;

The train makes perfect sense now that I think about it. I wasn't trying to get in a argument about the void though so no worries. Was just making sure I could give away all my villagers in a day without anyone missing out if I TT.
