Yeah, that'd probably be a good idea depending on what all sort of features we could get in the two first ones, and what could be improved in a third.
Though it'd be bad news for me since I don't own a dsi.

That's the same situation people were in when Crystal were released. People with a regular Game Boy or Game Boy Pocket couldn't play Crystal. With new hardware comes new games, and eventually you're gonna have to upgrade if you want to keep playing games. =p

I know, but with all this talk of a DS2 I'm confused if I should either just get a DSi or if I should wait until whenever this new one comes out.
It wouldn't be that hard of a choice if all of these things weren't being rumored all at once.

I know, lol. I'm actually questioning whether or not I should get the DSi XL when it comes out, or if I should wait until the new system, if it's true, that is. But I really want the DSi XL... XD

The following information comes from the latest Nintendo Voice Chat podcast summary...

- Craig has heard from a few sources that the nVidia graphics chip rumors about the DS2 are false
- Craig has heard that Nintendo will not be revealing any hardware at the Nintendo media summit, but a release date for the DSi XL might be announced
- Cammie will be speaking about certain news items at around 9 AM PST
- 10:30 AM hands-on play, but information is embargoed until the end of the night (around 9 PM PST or so)
- Pokemon HeartGold/Soul Silver, America

theres been 3 types of ds's so far ds, ds light, and dsi
