Dreams

I don't think the used the word lucid, maybe another word like it, but thanks now i know (:

Thought I'd bump up this thread.

Been practicing lucid dreaming for about a month now, recalling on average 3 dreams per night in great detail and I've had a total of 3 lucid dreams.

I'd definitely recommend everybody trying lucid dreaming, it changes your waking life just as much as your sleeping life

how do i practise bb?

There are a lot of methods, hard to explain really in one post, but I'll summarise.

1) Get your dream recall up to at least 1 dream per night, the more the better.
2) Write all your dreams in a dream journal for about 2 weeks, then analyse them, finding any common things that occur in your dreams, these are your "dream signs"
3) Perform reality checks as often as possible, whenever you see one of your dream signs or whenever anything just seems strange. Some reality checks include looking at your hands and counting your fingers, very often in dreams your hands won't look the same as real life. Or you can plug your nose and try to breathe, in a dream you would be able to breathe still.
4) Hopefully, after all this you'll do a reality check one time and it'll be in a dream and you can become lucid.

Of course, this is VERY shortened and only one method (DILD). I'd recommend reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming if you want to know more. The PDF of the book is available for free here: https://www.dmt-nexus.me/doc/Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming.pdf

Really nice talking about dreams and also really nice above comments, guys, i also want to say something about this topic, guys, my dream is become a successful kitchen master, i'm a good cook ...

Ooooo! I love talking about dreams :D
It's like my favorite thing. Fo realz.
I took a class my freshman year of college that focused on dreams and interpreting them. It's been my favorite class and I would love to take another like it. I've been interpreting my dreams and the dreams that my friends have ever since :)
I haven't tried lucid dreaming, though I think it would be really neat to do. I'll try it eventually.

For a while, I would have dreams involving white animals (beluga whales, white/pink dolphins, white newfoundland dog, white raven...).

As for a weird/crazy dream, I had one when I was in like second grade where my head was turning into an Alien's head and my family took me to a big ol building where I could pick out a new head (they were on display like those mannequin heads that you can find at Hobby Lobby or that you would use to display jewelry). We were greeted by a man in a business suit with a tiger head.
The dream terrified me at the time, but the part with the tiger just makes me laugh now.
Speaking of heads, I've had several dreams over the years having to do with severed heads in one form or another. The one above was one of them, and I had another in high school involving a mass murder where the heads of the victims were placed next to their bodies. That one was pretty terrifying at first too and had an ending that made it not-so-bad...

Dreams can be so interesting :3

I've looked this up a long time ago and I've had them before, but like some people claim they can do it on command. Haven't quite got the hang of that yet =P

My government teacher told us his dream that he had before Thanksgiving. *enter dream sequence* All he could remember was that he had the same body as now, but he was eleven in his mind and he was hiding behind the slide at church camp because he didn't want to go to Thanksgiving dinner. He looked around the slide and saw a huge circle of Japanese guys having a Japanese rap battle. *end dream sequence*

Bump.

I had my first experience with lucid dreaming and I remembered this thread and I didn't want to make a new dream thread to share my experience.

So my dream was going on for a while actually but I'm not gonna go into details because it was sad and personal but later on I was riding on my bike down the street when randomly the pedals start getting too hard to reach. So I get off. Next thing I know, I'm riding some weird scooter and had abandoned my bike. That's when I realized I was dreaming and I looked back and saw my bike. So I decided to try to do things on my own.

So I blew up a car. Don't worry nobody was in it. It exploded into a colorful smoke display and I used psychic powers and swished around the smoke until it vanished. Then I decided to fly and I grew wings and ran and kicked off from the ground. I saw that was a very clear blue beautiful ocean and a zebra bathing under a shower thing (like how we would rinse off ourselves off after going to the beach to get the sand off)

Then I woke up. It was brief but fun (:

I had a dream where I was being chased by General Grevious from star wars when I was 5. Back then, he scared the living hell out of me.

I lucid dream every now and then, but I'm never fully in control. I'll tell myself that this is a dream and I can do it, buut it never happens. For some reason also, I can't fly. Whats weird about that is I kind of DO fly, but I always fall, and wind up being afraid of said heights. Also can't change the scenery or make certain people appear. When they do appear, they aren't really who they are, more like someone else dressed up as them, hahah.

Man, I can't make anything of this~

Seriously thought, eventually I'll go ahead and look more into this, do the exercises that most people have success with in order to lucid dream more often, maybe then I'll have more control if I get into it.

I actually had my first ever full control lucid dream this morning. In normal dreams I sometimes say "I'm dreaming" and I get some control.
In my dream I was talking to my friend at school who got bullied and after about 10 minutes of talking, I realised that I was dreaming so I asked my friend to pinch me so she did. Didn't feel a thing. I walked off to the soccer fields and felt every step because I was in complete control. I jumped off the ground and started flying, went through walls and then flew up to the clouds. I also made a magical sword appear. Then my eyelids went weak and shut themselves.
Then I woke up.

I've never been able to lucid dream I don't think. ;w; Sometimes I've known that I'm dreaming but not been able to take control of it, or rather I keep telling myself "i hope this is a dream, i hope this is a dream". x3 Besides... How can you even lucid dream? I would love to be able to someday.

But ah, I tend to have quite strange dreams that never really make any sense whatsoever... Most of the time I just forget them, but the one dream I remember vividly is the dream where a large mutant monster attacked my city. ;-; it was actually quite scary, to say the least...

Don't have any interesting dreams to share in particular, but occasionally I like reading reading through sites like http://www.dreammoods.com/ then finding out about all my apparent restrained anxieties and how I want controlled relaxation from a third party or something like that. I don't really believe dreams are that meaningful, but it's fun to try and analyze any weird dreams or nightmares you have.

Most people would say flying dreams feel very free, but mine are exciting. In the majority of them, I'm being chased by something, and I'm usually struggling to stay in the air. Weird that most of the things chasing me are on the ground. One example is this huge, navy blue tiger was chasing me in a building, and I was flying away, trying to get out since it could reach me where ever I went while I was restricted to the building. When I got out, I flew for a bit then woke up :(

When I was younger, I had horrific nightmares of Mona Lisa chasing me around in my backyard with an axe. She used to scare the hell out of me and it's all thanks to that one episode I watched from Courage the Cowardly Dog where it had Mona Lisa in it.

I had a lucid dream where I was in my AVID class in my jr year. I did stuff that I didnt do back in those days. I raised my hand to answer questions, I was socializing, and I asked girls out. I was hanging out with my friends after school, went to their homes, and had a great time. Then it was nighttime and I woke up. I wished that it didn't have to end. I miss those days.

For a regular dream, back when I was a little kid I had these dreams where I was at a carnival. My vision was in black and white and I was being chased by scary clowns. The chase was in the style of Scooby Doo, but the dream was still scary.

When I was younger, I would always have this dream about a Giant Ladybug that lived on a giant spiderweb which was on my door and ate caterpillars. In that dream, I would always fear opening the door and leaving my room cause I'd have to go passed the ladybug which bit me several times. O_e

The dream where my boyfriend died in Afghan and my friend showed me to someone who "apparently" looked and acted like Ryan... IT WAS PETER GRIFFIN... On a rocking horse.. What the hell... >.<

I have had a ton of incredible lucid dreams!

One in particular I was at the beach with a bunch of friends. I realized that I could float so I gathered them all on the beach and I walked across the water and lifted myself into the air dancing and twirling around going "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!"
