Do you guys tend to stick with dreamies, or do you prefer to experience lots of villagers, dreamie or not? In my main town, at first, I wanted to fill it with all just villagers I like and keep them there, but lately, especially after visiting other people's towns, I feel like I want to experience other villagers and keep things mixed up instead of having the same set of 10 and hearing the same dialogue, etc.

So, how do you guys like to play? Do you move villagers in and out or stick with just your dream villagers?

kinda both! I usually have a current 10 villagers I want in my town... but sometimes those villagers lose their luster, so then I switch around.... like now! I just picked up Celia and Molly! but who knows how long they will last

This is the exact reason why I want another game! I really want to experience a lot of the villagers to be honest, but I end up liking a few a bit too much (cat villagers, I swear lol) so I end up keeping some longer than others.

If I ever get a second game though I would totally cycle through as many villagers as I can and play for probaby way too long getting to know everyone! I do get bored of having the same villagers sometimes but I don't really want to part ways with them either. It's hard to decide.

I kind of talked in a circle lol, but I guess I do both, I have some dreamies that I want to experience in my town and keep for a while, but after enough time has passed I tend to want to try out new and different villagers too. :)

I have multiple towns so I feel like I can have the best of both worlds. I have a couple villagers in each town that won't be going anywhere. The rest, I like to let them come and go as they please. I really do like experiencing new villagers on a regular basis.

At the moment I?m keeping my ten villagers because I just can?t let them go, I really like them all. And I?m afraid a new move in could plot their house in an awful place, or on paths and flowers/trees. Also I don?t like the reset trick because it?s time consuming. I want to meet new villagers too so I plan to have a second town where villagers can move in and out and I wouldn?t care and stress about house placement. I hope I won?t become attached too much to a villager again though. This game isn?t really intended to keep villagers permanently. (Though I want an option to lock my villagers permanently.)

I like my dream villagers but then I'd also like to meet other villagers ;A; I really do love my dream villagers though so I'm gonna stick with them. I also meet other villagers that are in my brother's town so all good I guess

Personally I like meeting new villagers, but I do have one villager (Carman) that I have had from the beginning of the game.

i want to experiment with keeping villagers until they give me their picture then let them go, but then again it's so hard to let your favorite villagers go! currently i have a town full of dreamies but when one of them either annoys me a lot or i just get sick of them i usually sell them half the price i got them at or give them away so that i can get new villagers. i'm really happy with my villagers now and especially because i don't time travel everything's coming more naturally. i'm only 2 away from cycling back for merengue, but i'm still wary as to whether or not it's worth it

I originally wanted to have different villagers to come and go until I receive their pic, so I can keep experiencing new faces. Bt I doubt I'll be able to let go some of my favorites. I doubt I'd ever complete the cycle to get someone back though, there is plenty of villagers to replace.

A majority of my villagers are never leaving but there are always those few that I end up getting bored of when I fall in love with another villager. I am trying to keep a jock around but they are definitely my least favorite and i always end up bringing in another normal since they are my favorite. I like to have one smug, uchi, snooty and cranky since to me, their personalities are the most "unpredictable" in the sense they don't repeat all the time and i really like that and want them to be unique around town. Normals are my favorite so i don't mind having a few of them around and i really like peppies too so i am fine with a few of them as well. Part of the fun of the game is the villagers moving in and out so sometimes keeping them around does get old and i did let a few of my "favorites" leave when cycling but appreciating the changes i made now

Initially I was planning to have 8 dreamies and leave the 2 spaces for switching villagers and meeting new ones
But then in order to do so I would need to keep plot resetting for the new ones moving in so I was like nvm I'm just gonna have 10 dreamies and keep them forever XD

I stick with the villagers I like the most. I just don't see the point in switching things since each personality type has the same exact dialogue.

It depends. If it isn't a villager I particularly like e.g. chrissy. I'll sell them off too the highest bidder

however, if it's one of my dreamies I WILL NOT ever! let them go like EVER even if they live in a terrible location.

I've been letting most villagers go, but I have attachments to Tammy, Tex and Clay... and Bree. and Walt. uh... yeah... >__>;; I sorta have a problem. XD
but the only dream villager I really have is Egbert. maybe someday I'll get a hold of him. can wait until Anchovy's gone.

Well I've started to get into landscaping and having a revolving set of villagers kind of ruins that. I have dreamies and also villagers that I like, but not enough to keep them forever.

I've decided not to have "dreamies" for my current town. My first 9 were all random move-ins and I asked my 10th, Fauna, to move-in. However, save 2 or 3 villagers that I really adore, I will probably let the others go. In my old town I kept the same villagers and to be honest, it got really boring. I want to experience new villagers/friends as my town grows

I don't know if I'll ever keep a villager forever, just because there are so many other villagers in the game. I do have "dreamies" I guess, but they are not in my town permanently. Usually once I get a villager's picture I see it fit to let them go, some of course I keep longer. I like changing my villagers from time to time because it's a big feature of the game is animals moving in and out, and if I keep the same set for too long I get bored and my town feels stagnant. And even though they have the same dialogue, every villager feels a little bit different, you know? I agree with everyone else though, plot resetting for new villagers is a pain, but that's really the only reason why I can see someone not ever wanting to switch villagers.

I tried to let them move in and out to experience a bunch of different ones, but once I begin to develop a town I really get bothered by the randomness so I give in and have dreamies. I have multiple towns though so I have more than just ten.... I have two cycle towns right now and will be making one into a third real town soon, and eventually will be developing the 4th as well and I think I'm gonna try to be more free with the 4th one, maybe plot reset on days I know someone is moving in but not control who? I think that's probably how it will work. For now it's been fun running cycle towns to see all the different faces despite never actually talking to them :)

I have "sets" of dreamies - like, some villagers I'd absolutely never let leave (at least for now :P), then others I love but would be a little more willing to let go of. I can't narrow it down to just ten, no matter how hard I try, but I think that's good because I know there's a little list of villagers I'd love to have if someone does move out or I lose them somehow - and I can fall back on that list and know exactly who to look for to fill their spot in the event that that happens.
