Dreamies list from when you were younger

I played Wild World and City Folk completely offline and didn't look things up so I didn't have the concept of dreamies and didn't really know which villagers were available. I also TTed like crazy so they would all leave haha. But I remember having Fang and loving him. He was the only villager I was sure I wanted in NH, and was actually my first campsite villager after the required smug one. But a few days in I realized I'm not as into his design as I was back then, and have since traded him to a loving home in exchange for Wolfgang

in new leaf I remember wanting a bunch of normal types like Lily and Molly. I think I ended up with 3 normal types or something haha. I also really wanted Drago because he looked like a dragon, and planned on actually buying him as my 10th and final villager, but then Rene the rhino randomly moved into my town from my sister's void

I remember being so mad at her because Rene was my 10th villager, and all my other villagers were dreamies so I was stuck with her!!!! Ugh that really sucked lol

I've loved Walker since Wild World (though I didn't have a concept of dreamies back then), but never had him in my town. I just saw the picture in the guide book and fell in love, and he's been my fave since then. I've also been a big fan of Octavian since then.

But also in Wild World I had Pompom and was DEVASTATED when she moved, though I remember she did send me her picture. She caused such trust issues that I don't even remember having any favorite villagers in my City Folk town.

I loved Gonzo, Olivia and Static back in the gamecube days. My dream villagers in new leaf were Moe, Tom, Beau, Katt, Shep, Kiki, Ankha, Purrl, Piper and Sparro. They are all still in my new leaf town.
Moe and Tom are the only ones I have on my island that were in my new leaf town and they are probably going to be the only ones I have again.
I'm giving other villagers I liked in the past a chance like Static, Peanut and Pecan.

NL was when I really got invested in finding villagers I liked! My dreamies list was Diana, Phoebe, Octavian. Savannah, Sprinkle, Pietro, Coco, Rudy, Marcel and Zucker

Mm, I feel like my taste in dreamies hasn't really changed since acknowledging the concept back in New Leaf. Up until that point, in all my games I just let villagers come and go, though I did have long-lasting childhood favorites like Kiki, Mitzi, etc.

I was in my twenties when I played New Leaf, and I'm still in my twenties now. I will say though as I've gotten older I've definitely gotten more invested in my favorites and would prefer to keep them around as long as I possibly can. Animal Crossing ultimately is a relaxing sort of experience for me and seeing my favorite villagers everyday is part of that.

So that being said, I suppose my firmly cemented dreamies now are the same as in New Leaf. Kiki, Mitzi, Punchy, Julian. Although, I don't think I'll be obtaining them all this go around because I share my island with my fiancee. She gets a say in who stays on the island too, so to just choose my favorites wouldn't be fair. But, in that way it's fine, because I get to experience some new villagers and develop new favorites.

Julian is still on the top of my list though no matter what right now, I miss my unicorn. I deeply miss Punchy as well, he's the best Lazy imo.

I definitely didn’t have “dreamies” playing Wild World at 11-12, but my favorite villagers were Antonio, Dora, Peewee, Tipper, Punchy, Biskit, Peanut, and Filbert. I still like that whole list a lot! That’s a large part of why I actually like unpopular villagers now; the mice and gorillas and anteaters (along with the more popular dogs and cats) just feel like home to me.

My list has changed minimally. Also honestly, I consider 10% of all the villagers my dreamies, and 25% ones I would totally have on my island. I just have a TON of favorites, there’s so many to love.
Really, the only things I can think of are that I discovered even more absolute favorites from villagers I never paid attention to before, mostly because they moved into my town and I got to have memories of them. :>

My old dreamies went something like:
-Merengue
-Zucker
-Punchy
-Mitzi
-Kiki

I still love them, however. But Zucker isn’t exactly as high on my list anymore. I think I previously liked him because takoyaki/octopus fritters are one of my favorite foods, and now I’m realizing how weird it is that I like a character because I find him appetizing, LOL... Also sentient food is arguably kind of freaky, I’m now realizing.

A dream town for me, would have to have all 8 personalities. It just has to be that way, so I won’t be missing a big chunk of dialogue. That considered, my (current) dream town of 10 would be:

Marina (Normal)
Rosie (Peppy)
Ruby (Peppy)
Judy (Snooty)
Agnes (Sisterly)
Fang (Cranky)
Dom (Jock)

I loved Benedict a lot in WW. I don’t exactly remember why but he was on my island I thought it was the coolest guy ever! Also, I played in Italian back then and he had a cool name, Biagio, which made everything better. When he left my heart broke; I remember trying to talk to him multiple times and sending him letters where I told him I’d give him more presents if he stayed.

nowdays these are not my dreamies at all (except fang) , but i still like them a lot!

Ruby was there the first time I ever saw what AC was (WW) so I've always really liked her <3

I don't think I thought much about it until New Leaf.

In ACGC I needed to have Penny (for whatever unexplainable reason), Rosie and Bob. But I had all three of them already so I guess that doesn't count.

In Wild World I didn't know or care about having certain villagers either, but I remember really wanting Roald and then getting him and us being friends.

In New Leaf, I really wanted Merengue, and then I discovered Tia whom I was desperate for.

Actually, I think my dreamies in New Leaf specifically were:
- Jacques (never got him, ended up with Marshal to see what the hype was about)
- Merengue (I love her design, which I know is a pretty basic opinion)
- Lolly (A really cute cat, but again not very original)
- Zucker (I really loved him, but have kind of fallen out of love with the release of New Horizons
- Phoebe (at the time the only Uchi I could stomach)
- Rosie (more or less for nostalgic reasons and because I always end up with her)
- Genji (I never ended up with him though, I think I had Bud who I never and still don't like)
- Fang (I do love Fang, but I have other cranky villagers I like more now)

This is my “dreamies” list I made in like 2 minutes as an 11-year-old on Animal Crossing Community:
Maple,Kid Cat,Elmer,Marshal,Goldie,Poncho,Flurry*,Bluebear,Static,Eugene
No sisterly and no snooty villagers. And since when did I like Eugene that much?
I always forget that Elmer was my third favorite villager in the Wild World days.
