Why is it that the only villagers who ping me are the dreamies I want to keep? I know how the move out game is suppose to go, so for the four original villagers that I want gone ( as well as the teapot elephant that I'm holding for someone ) I've been extra special attentive. Letters, errands, compliments.... you name it I've done it! I've been schmoozing harder than a crooked politician at a convention.

I don't ignore the dreamies, I send them letters and say hello once a day but I try to limit my contact with them. I'm seeking a delicate balance between ignoring them and loving them.

10 villagers, four of which are being kept, and one of them has pinged twice, the other three - well just let's say it's a good thing that Eloise is such a gossip and let's me know with a lot of warning that they are planning on moving. Tonight I had to trap Phoebe and play the wetsuit trick before she'd confess that the world wanted her.

Grrrr Arrrgh! Am I doing something wrong? Why is it my beloved four that want to sneak off in the night?

Because ACNL wants us to have ugly villagers.

I know, that happens to me too T^T

I'm 99.99% sure that the game knows, when you want someone to move, so it mods itself to make that villager, like a permanent resident, happened to me with Rooney

ACNL might be the very first proof that technology is somehow becoming sentient and it DEFINITIVELY does not like humans.

Back when I TTed at an old town, I remember that once I set my sights in getting ONE specific villager out (Either because I wanted to trade them out or just build something where their house is), I would somehow end up going trough EVERY SINGLE OTHER VILLAGER ask to move out at least twice before the one I had on sight finaly left.

Its insane.

Yeah, pretty much. Merengue pinged me to move today, and I was just starting to get to know her. I haven't been showering her with virtual affection or anything, so what gives? Spork was the one I wanted out so, so badly. He even decided to move once - and then changed his freaking mind. Gah. I don't hate any villager, but if they are not a dreamy, I want to meet new ones!

No matter how good friends you are with your favourite villagers, they always want to move. When Francine moved to my town, I talked with her and sent her letters everyday, but she still wanted to move out after few weeks. She still keeps asking to move out, no matter how good friends we are. That's why the ignoring thing doesn't work when you're trying to get someone to move out. Game just picks it randomly and most likely it's a villager you're friends with :/
