I spent so long not caring about dream villagers, but after making an account here and seeing the concept and giving it a try, I'm hooked.
To top it off, I don't time travel so getting them is spaced out by large periods of time, so I can still enjoy the villagers I have now while I wait for them to finally decide its time to part ways and I'm loving it. It really feels like a challenge for the game. I also feel like it shows how my town is slowly changing over time and I love it. Sure I already got four of them, but this was during the period where I only had 5 villagers since my town was still new. You still get the idea.
I'm not really hooked, but I've definitely decided my town's gonna eventually have 10 permanent residents. most being villagers I had before or villagers I had in City Folk. I was thinking I wanted a new uchi in my life but then Tammy showed up, so I had to take her... >__> and so the rest of them were decided shortly after that.
I only started New Leaf on Saturday so I'm very new to all of this, but after finding out about the 'dreamie' thing, I researched and decided on mine. I was lucky enough to have Stitches as one of my first five villagers, and Poppy was an instant favourite when she moved in the next day as well. Since then, I've been stalking Reddit as well as here trying to find the rest, and have already managed to invite Rudy and Fang to my town as well. Just secured Bangle and she should be setting up her plot tomorrow.
Now I just need Goose, Elise, T-Bone and Dotty to move out!
I always just kept what the game gave me, and I never let them move. I later decided to make an all hamster town ( with a couple of mice). It was so much fun that I bought another copy and made an all dog town. I have seen Hazel in a couple of dream towns, and I think she's adorable. If I get another copy, I think I'll have to have Hazel in my town.
I always wanted a specific set of villagers in my town, I really don?t like the idea of people moving. So I started to search what villagers I wanted, I choose all of them based on their design, I?m also aiming to get one of each personality type. I would also add that "searching" for dreamies is kinda fun, and very rewarding, but sometimes it get?s boring or hard, specially if you want a tier 1 or 5 villagers, tiers 1 are sometimes so expensive, and no one ever gives tiers 5 XD Most of the time you just have to get lucky, find the right post, at the right time, and hopefully not many people are browsing that same post...
My dreamies are listed in my signature, but it's almost impossible to get the ones you want unless you buy/trade them with another person! Kiki and Pecan just random came to me through the campsite but I had no more patience so I decided to just find the rest of em on this forum! I love this place
I like the dream villagers concept, too, but I like so many of them that I'm not overly choosy who lives in my town, and I like having a new animals move in once in a while, usually regardless of who they are. Of course, there are a few villagers that I want to burn with fire, but I'll deal with those few if and when they move to my town. =p
