I've seen a few other dream town review threads, and I decided that I want to make my own. I want to look at other people's towns and maybe get inspiration for my town. I also want to help others with ideas for their town too. This is my first time reviewing dream towns, but I figured I need something else to do after someone unexpectedly moved in. You can also visit my dream town if you want. My dream address is: 5400-3878-8046. It hasn't been updated in a few days and I'm not going to update it anytime soon, because my new neighbor has moved in top of my paths and bushes, but I will welcome advice and suggestions.

I'll try to be unbiased when reviewing. What I will most likely mention in my reviews are:
  • PWPs
  • paths
  • path placement/route
  • house placement
  • trees/ bushes/ flowers

I might mention other things if your town really wows me, but these will be the basic things I will talk about. Feel free to update your town before asking me to review.

I'd like to build 2 more characters and I'm struggling with the house placement so if you could give me some insight on that it'd be great :)

Visit mine. Be impressed. Be even more impressed. Re-valuate your life because you are so impressed. Have fun in my town. Be as bias as you want. I don't care.

The first thing that I noticed about your town is your paths! I really liked this path when i was looking for paths for my town, and I think it suits the theme for your town. I assume you're going for a fairy tale type theme. I would suggest the fairy tale bridge and fairy tale streetlight to line your paths with. I also think that replacing your yellow benches with the wooden bench, metal bench, or fairy tale bench would suit your town better. My favorite part of your town is the row of flower arches. I think they are fun and goes nicely as a guide to your house. I like how you arranged your Jacob's ladders and violets next to your house and the gold roses and purple roses near the fountain. I really appreciate your effort in arranging your hybrids, however some of the other flowers are really random and I feel that it clashes with the organized flowers and messes up with the flow.

If you want to add two more characters, I would suggest moving them next to Ozzie's house. I think two house can fit there. There's also a lot of space below your campsite, so that's also an option. You can move a house by the cliff and have a cliff house. I was going to suggest placing pwps there, because there's a lot of space, but houses can be an option too. I also want to add that I think Monique's house is in an awkward place, and Benjamin looks lonely.

Just a heads up, I don't have any paths.

Ahh thank you! I assume you mean the the non hybrid flowers I have lying around? I restarted my town a couple months ago and I've been trying SO effin' hard to unlock the fairytale PWPs :( Poppy, Molly & Fauna refuse to comply with my letters, I was hoping having 3 normals would increase my chances. Plus they are just so cute! (All the random benches lying around my town were because villagers kept trying to move in there and I was sick of it haha. Now they move into other places I detest). Benjamin & Monique were random move ins before I knew about the reset trick. (Praise the AC gods for letting line up Agent S, Poppy & Molly perfectly). By cliff did you mean near my cafe? If you're still doing reviews, I'll come by once I've made improvements to my town!

I don't think that paths are necessary. I think that your town can do with or without paths. I can already see a dirt path forming in some locations like under the flower arches near the town square and leading up to Papi's house, so maybe you can do a natural dirt path. I like how your flowers act as a guide, and it gives the town a more casual feel. I really like the illuminated pwps. Maybe you can add the illuminated sign somewhere near the tower and illuminated clock. It seems like a good place for lit up pwps. The wind turbine seems out of place. It also make a distracting sound. I would suggest putting in one more or two more so it looks less out of place and more like a field of wind turbines or taking it out. I really enjoyed your houses and I like how each room has a theme. Your villager's houses, however is scattered. I think that Rosie, Kid Cat and Mira's houses are in awkward places. I would suggest using bushes to enhance your paths. Maybe you can line up bushes that lead to your villager's houses.

My favorite part of your town is the lighthouse. I like how you placed it next to a cliff and I like all the roses surrounding it.

The southern part of my town is incomplete as well as the alt's house.

It's pretty incomplete though since I'm lacking hybrids and some pwps I want c:
3 of the houses are incomplete as well.

I would love a review and suggestions.

I think you are going for a zen theme, based on your choice of paths and some of your pwps. I really like the zen bell and how you organized the bamboo and paths around it, that's my favorite part of the town. I noticed that you used the path with the gaps in it, which suggests water underneath, so I was expecting more water type paths. I've seen this path before, and I know there is another version without the gaps of water, this might work better for your town. I also have a problem with the path's connection to the bridges, because the bridges are two squares wide, white your path is one square wide. Have you tried placing your paths side-by-side to see what they look like, or maybe you don't have to connect your paths to your bridges, and make them stop before it reaches your bridge? I do like how you arranged your flowers by color though. It really separates the town into different areas, and maybe you can make each area into a different theme. I think the area where the sphinx, stone tablet and flower clock is really random. You also have this unappealing bump in your paths that is located near the big pond and the water fountain. I would fix it by moving the pink tiles so that the route forms a rectangle and then move all the bridge-like tiles one space to the right. (I don't know if I make sense.)

Not sure if you wanted a review, but you're getting one...
Your town is very organized. I don't have mush to say but I have an issue with the entrance to the cam site, it just looks like, I don't know, incomplete. I know there's a buffer in the front so you can't put a path there. I think you placed it too close to the edge of the map, but not much can be done about it. I think the flowers that you chose fit nicely together. I really like your landscaping overall and I also like your skinny paths. Your town has a very symmetric feel to it, which flows together with the modern theme. The framing that you did for each house is really nice too. I went down to your basement and turned on everything. It sounded hectic, but it was fun. I visited Rolf, because he used to be in my town and he was wearing a ducky shirt... (smh)

I know the bump you are talking about! Canberra moved, and then even though I have a campsite, I picked up a random new villager via streetpass, so two areas are very out of whack. I also agree that the sphinx is out of place! I'd like to demolish it but I only just finished paying for the train station upgrade. Eventually id like more zen items (I even plan to get rid of my two fairy tale pwps.)

I'm looking for a good water path. I agree with all your suggestions! Thanks for the review :)

SPRING! Your town is very pretty, and your paths match with the season, but I don't really like the water tiles (the ones with the bricks around it), the design just looks really flat. I think you should pick a water tile that is among the blue-green shade. I think it would compliment the petal lined tiles that you already have. The cafe tiles you have in front of Merengue's house throws me off, but maybe you put it there because her house looks like a cafe? I don't know. I suggest that you have moe pink flowers around your town center so that it matches the building, or I would do all white flowers, like maybe carnations.

I also like how you have presents lying around and it's really thoughtful. I really like the ice cream items! I enjoyed all your little mushrooms and stumps. You can use a silver axe to create patterns in the stumps. Normal trees and pine trees create different designs, if you didn't know.

You're welcome! Yes, I mean your non hybrids. I think normal villagers are really cute too, but I can't have more than 2 in my town. I think I'd get bored. You can always fill your pockets with flowers and run in front of them to see if they ping you. You can also visit them in their houses to see if they suggest a pwp. I meant that you can put a house on the southern side (bottom left). Personally, I wouldn't want any houses on the northern side of your town, but just because all the residential houses are already on the bottom part of the map (below the river).

You can request for another review if you want!
