Dirt or wood with no grass showing (becouse that would be weird at certain spots and times) atleast two villagers wide.

I'm sorry that you think that, but the first dream town has dirt paths as you asked and I went to the second dream town a few days ago and it worked. Maybe you didn't enter the code in correctly or the person has changed their code

Can't you use your iPad and scan them with the qr code machine?

Rather than going to dream towns to get them, your best bet is looking online for tiles that fit your criteria. Just search for key words on google or pinterest. There's a whole bunch. Wendell only gives out paths made by the owners if I remember correctly. Some town owners might not want to share their path designs that they spent hours making. I've seen more shirt designs through Wendell than path designs.
