Dream Map Hunting

I've been hunting for my dream map for the last two days, I've found it a total of 4 times (The first one had a nasty pond in front of the train station, and then the other 3 had pears or an extremely close Retail and Town hall, OR a dream villager >>). I found it a few minutes ago and a villager had placed their house where I was gonna put mine ;A;

How long did you guys reset your dream map?

For Neo Mercury about 19 times. They were these:

Attempt 1: Bianca, Avery, Jambette, Tucker, Poncho (Even though I REALLY like Tuck, Jambette ruins this one)
Attempt 2: Pippy, Freya, Goose, Savannah, Knox
Attempt 3: Flora, Bud, Friga, Tia, Erik
Attempt 4: Midge, Truffles, Vic, Ankha, Sparrow
Attempt 5: Cobb, Marcel, Robin, Bangle, Vesta
Attempt 6: Poppy, Rosie, Jay, Rolf, Astrid
Attempt 7: Sterling, Deli, Dora, Harry, Gigi
Attempt 8: Amelia, Jambette, Spork, Wolfgang, Sly
Attempt 9: Bubbles, Ribbot, Gaston, Puchy, Eunice
Attempt 10: Mallary, Pierce, Groucho, Wendy, Filbert
Attempt 11: Marcel, Ribbot, Queenie, Sydney, Gabi

I kept the last one because of a good layout, and starting with Clay and Bam (I listed Clay first because I like him more than Bam)

I didn't care that much about maps and fruits and whatever, so I accepted literally the first map Rover showed me, and I'm fine with it lol
the only bad part about the map was the fact that a villager was smack in front of town hall I guess...? I didn't realize that was a villager's house, but he moved out later so it's all good now.

idk I feel like it's really easy to get addicted to just... resetting, so I'd probably never bother resetting for a "dream" map... I don't even have one in mind anyways so I'd probably settle eventually if I didn't just pick from the original 4 lol.
I have the same mindset when it comes to villager plots I guess?? I just give up after like 30 mins if they chose ok spots (except flurry who wouldn't plop her house anywhere semi-decent for hours ugh)...

Just twice. I regretted the map I chose on the first day (I just picked one from the original four), so when I went to bed I decided that I would reset for a map I liked the next day. That only took me two resets, and I couldn't be happier.

I admire your and other people's dedication to reset for days or even weeks to find that perfect map! I just hope it doesn't burn you out and make you feel frustrated to the point of not wanting to play anymore, because I sure can imagine that happening to some people.

For my (now only) town I didn't have a dream map in mind. I reset once because I didn't realise until after that you could pick from 4 maps and just picked the first one going.

When I had a second game I spent 3-4 days resetting for an ideal map. Looking back it was a waste of time. I found flaws with it pretty quickly.

About an hour and a half. Still ended up with a pond in front my Main Street, so it's not perfect, but I'll find a way to make it work.

I never reset for a map, it was one of my original four n v n
I hate my layout, ugh! but I'm still fond of it lol
just cause I see other dream towns with so much space and everything is perfect while mine has a straight river through the middle xD

I reset for two or three hours, casually, not quickly. I was just looking for a layout I liked, not knowing of the possible map chart online. The only thing I was looking for was a map with the plaza in the center as a focal point. Found one, kept it, realized it had peaches. All I need. c:

My map could be better, but it has grown on me.
