Dream Code Change

OMG HOW?!! I really want my dream code change too so I can visit my own dream =x

Your Dream Code will "change" if no one visits your town or you don't update your town for (I think) 3 months. I say "change" because it doesn't just get swapped out with a new number. It deletes your Dream Code and your Dream Address first. And then when you go to Luna to get your dream updated, it will give you a new number.

Therefore, snowyuki, you can't visit your own Dream Address of the same town.

Incorrect. You can visit your own town, but there are certain circumstances.
Every so often, when you go to update, even if you have been updating regularly, Luna may, seemingly, randomly decide to give you a new DA(and skip paying you the 5k bells). There may or may not be a way to induce this as whatever conditions it requires may only be known by Nintendo.
When this occurs, your old DA will still exist, except that it will no longer count as "your dream town" and you can visit it in a dream as if it was someone else's town, at the expense of never being able to update it again.

Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder what causes it to change. I update almost every day (just for the bells) and it's never happened to me before. I always do it on the same character.

Which character updates it seems to have no relation to it. I regularly switch simply based on who needs some spending money.
The first time it happened to me was when I was TT-ing and had updated twice in the same real-world day, though someone may have already proven that doesn't cause it.
Some think it may be related to what Nintendo does on their servers.
