Dream Address changed & now I can visit my own town

I hadn't updated it in a week but I doubt that's why. I haven't updated loads of times but this is different.

I can also now visit myself by imputing my own Dream Address. My villagers still talk about ME, the mayor, like I'm not him. They also say "my town is better than yours!" which is funny.

Why did it change though? Has this happened to anyone else?
