Dr Who Anniversary Event

Personally, I'm just glad we're gonna have no more Matt Smith. It's gonna be a nice change-up.
I don't see why people have a problem with Matt... Most people say he's not 'Doctor like', but what's 'Doctor like' I mean we have eleven different Doctors we can go by... Personally I was glad Tennant had gone, his run was getting a bit dull for me!
I wish we could get some more of Paul Mcgann on-screen, his movie wasn't great (Way too Americanised!) but his novels and audio books are brilliant!!

Anyone bought any of the special 50th Anniversary Edition novels?
They are:
1st Doctor- Ten Little Aliens by Stephen Cole
2nd Doctor- Dreams of Empire by Justin Richards
3rd Doctor- Last of the Gaderene by Mark Gatiss
4th Doctor- Festival of Death by Jonathan Morris
5th Doctor- Fear of the Dark by Trevor Braxendale
6th Doctor- Players by Terrance ****s
7th Doctor- Remembrance of the Daleks by Ben Aaronovitch
8th Doctor- Earthworld by Jacqueline Rayner
9th Doctor- Only Human by Gareth Roberts (REPRINT)
10th Doctor- Beautiful Chaos by Gary Russell (REPRINT)
11th Doctor- The Silent Stars Go By by Dan Abnett (REPRINT)

Currently I have Fear of the Dark (5) and Earthworld (8), since I started with two of my favourite Doctors, I'll be getting the rest soon apart from 9, 10 and 11's as they are reprints of already existing novels that I already own... I'll only get those three later to have the full set...

It's weird to think that I could still be alive for the potential 100th anniversary... (I'll be 67!!)

I am also go to watch it with my friends, Hopefully we all will enjoy it, we all are not want to miss it.
thank you. It would be great if we post even that happen after watch.

I agree, I quite liked Matt. I just think he suffered from poor writing. Every epiaode of the second half of the last series seemed to suffer from rushed ending syndrome.
I want more McGann too, he's a great Doctor. There's a part of the trailer for Day of the Doctor that has a silhouette that looks like it could be him.

On another note, my friend just texted me this: "**** River Song, Benny is canon".

It was announced a while ago, but originally it was just for a very select few cinemas in the UK but then they expanded it hugely to tons of cinemas across the UK and in other countries but they were rather discrete about it... Plus I don't see the point in paying the overly high prices to see it in 3D at a cinema when you can watch it at home, quietly, in 3D or 2D and make your own popcorn!

I'm now going to see it in 3D. :D Turns out a tiny local cinema near my college is going to be showing it. So a group of about six of us are making a night out of it - going for dinner first then probably the pub after. :)

No, no, I love Matt Smith. Great Doctor, but it's the same thing with you and Tennant. It's nice to have a new Doctor.

I managed to change my shift at work just so I can watch it later. It's so worth getting up at 6am. In fact, you could say it's going to be fantastic. Anyway, I hope it's better than some of the recent episodes have been.

Doctor Who biscuits are go! The dough is just firming up in the fridge, I will post pictures once they are cut out and then when they have been baked :)

Is it too early to hope the Gallifrey and the Time Lords are really returning? Imagine the plot possibilities if they really do.
Just over a month until more though! Is it wrong to be more excited about that than Christmas?

Oh my God, that episode was amazing! It was dark, yet funny and heart warming and Clara is definitely one of my favourite companions ever!

Shout out to the best curator ever!

I really can't imagine Christmas without Doctor Who now, it become the third staple of Christmas day: Open presents, have Christmas lunch an top it off with 'Who!

*Sigh* I've had to start bashing heads on Tumblr as people are being silly... Lots of people seem to think that Gallifrey has been Time-Locked for the last 50 years of Doctor Who and are complaining that Moffat has rewritten everything... WRONG! Gallifrey has only been Time-locked since the 2005 series thus Moffat has only rewritten 8 years of canon. Not. 50.

I posted this on Tumblr and have had asks saying I'm lying, well I sent them all my back up evidence from the Doctor Who wiki and sent them off telling them to actually watch Classic Era Doctor Who. Seriously, don't mess with my favourite show and its writers/cast/crew.

Lmao probably all a bunch of kids who weren't even born during the original episodes. (Like me)
