Dr Who Anniversary Event

Rassilon (last seen in the Master/10th Doctor finale) knows the secret to immortality - "perpetual bodily regeneration". By bringing Gallifrey back, the Doctor could probably utilise it.

lol

My sister is creyy for Doctor Who. Me in the other hand... Meh. I'm kind of forced into watching Doctor Who all day. o;

I can't comment about who to much, but my sis says she will miss Matt Smith. So. lel

Alex (my bf) is watching it now, the temptation to fangirl over text to him is too great... I'll probably have the episode on again on iPlayer tomorrow while making some mince pies...

Well, it was not at all what I expected. Apart from the fact that I guessed how they'd get around the regeneration limit, the 50th made it so obvious. Still really good though, one of my favourite Christmas episodes. I do wonder why all of the ones with Matt are set at night though.
That regeneration sequence. Best one of the new series by far.

As a side note, I forgot about The Silence being in the episode between their first and second appearances in it.

Okay yeah that was pretty damn good.

Other than bringing back Amelia.

God damn it. I really hated her near the end.

good christmas episode :}

((I thought it was better than the 50th LEL))

I quite liked Amy or Amelia OR WHOEVER SHE DAMN WELL IS so it was nice to see her at the end :}
Good thing they didn't have Rory or I would've flipped.

So what kind of Doctor do you think Capaldi will be? Given his age, probably a more serious brooding one? Which is good because I'm getting tired of the rather wacky crazy persona of Tennant and Smith.

I think this Doctor will be more proper, if I can describe it as that.
Not with a quirky sense of humour and not so all over the place.

I could see Capaldi's Doctor as being a bit like a more 'energetic' and darker First Doctor, in an interview Steven Moffat has described Capaldi as an 'Old Beast' , which kind of fits a darker First Doctor who could himself be a bit of a beast!
