which ones do you have?
I have a brick pattern that i use all over, so i can merge it into two when i need to and use it as a single path when i want
but i'm liking this other path, that is two wide, and i'm replacing my old one, and i can't find a nice looking tile for the single path areas, so i'm thinking i should just reconstruct the whole thing?

What do you have in your towns?

I don't mind if my path doesn't reach every single nook and cranny of my town, so i guess double would be the way to go

double always looks neater to me
3 is too big
1 is too small
however in small areas, 1px path is fine

I have double paths as they always look better. They take up more design spaces, but it's definitely worth it in terms of looks. (*^-^*)

I'm a complete newbie to paths, but I really like them two or three wide, especially if you're putting in a hard border around them (like hedges or bush starts or whatever, for example) to accommodate for all the villagers and/or visitors who might be walking on them.

I always use paths that have 2 sides that end. Using a single path or paths with both sides in one for small parts in a town is great, but filling your town with it is just a waste.

And filling your town with paths shaped like a villager house is just a waste too.

I use double paths, it just looks nicer in my opinion! A downside to double paths is that it takes more space in your design spaces, but it's worth it in a way!

When I do my town I'm going to include 1,2,3 but mostly doubles. 1 is too small but it'll b useful for small side roads and 3 for main roads.

I generally use a full set for a two wide path, 9-10 tiles for the whole thing. In some busy areas I will go three wide with it, but most of the town is done in 2 wide. I will sometimes add a complimentary single piece path to use to get to areas that don't really flow with the rest of my paths, or I'll use lucky clovers as a path in that situation as well.
In my original town I made my own path to look like an asphalt road complete with broken yellow lines down the middle and there was a through-way that went in a sort of a square around the middle of the town that was all 3 wide, then the smaller bits that led off of it were all 2 wide, there were "decorative" parking spaces that I just used as a visual addition to the town (and to take up space because most of the empty ground in town was hybrids I figured might as well add some visual stuff besides just flowers and pwp's) and then any little areas such as leading up to villager houses and such I did a single tile sidewalk path as well. The whole thing took up 21 tiles spread between three characters but I really liked how it turned out and worked with the feel I was going for in the town, I frequently wish I hadn't stripped out all the flowers and traded in that cartridge, it would have been nice to see that town end up the way I had envisioned it would, but I digress...
Now that we get 10 spaces for paths I really think 2 wide with edges is the way to go. I remember loving my single piece that blended into itself path I had in wild world but there are so many more beautiful possibilities now.

I'm picky with my paths because they need to have double and single width options for me; I like having double paths for the areas leading to my bridges and single width for the roads to and around my villagers houses.
