It's super cute. And it makes it seem more like you're interacting with the villagers. Like they really pay attention to you. A nice detail they added to the game that I love.

It's super cute when they cheer you on when you manage to reel a big fish in. I remember that in WW they clapped for as long as the animation lasted, but in NL, at least to me, they clap for a few seconds and that is it.

I love it when villagers cheer for you when you accomplish something, it feels like you have your own personal cheer squad. It's so cute, and I'm glad it was added into the game. Did you know that villagers can wave at you too, like just not when you're exiting your house but also while you're outside too. I can't remember how to do it exactly, but i'm sure somebody here can explain it. It's a pretty neat feature and just makes the open world feel more alive.

I remember in WW you had to tap the lower screen, since the action happened there, but here it is by means of the megaphone. You just have to shout their name while you're not near them but they appear on screen, and they'll wave at you if they're on good terms with you.

Yes the only way i know how to make them wave is the megaphone trick

You can get them to wave using the Joke book.

When they clap after I catch any fish I use the Pride from the Joke book.
They get shocked when you lose a rare fish. One night I was lost a large summer fish and Miss Lolly was shocked.
Bet she wanted it if I got it.

Aw yeah i love it when they clap its super cute haha. I actually didn't even know about the wave thing either (besides when I exit one of my villagers houses), that's cool!
