So the new bridge was finally done today, and I can donate for the fountain, but can it be done on the day of the completion of the bridge? I mean, will it have effect or do I have to wait one day?

Omg okay so I donated those 400,000 bells today, but she didn't say anything about it as she did with the first improvement. With the 200,000 she was like OMG we have enough now for a new bridge! Thanks to you! but this time she didnt?
