So if you have the Homebrew Channel on the Wii(for City Folk) or the Homebrew Laucher(NL and HHD) you can backup your ACNL save! This is nice so if your data got corruprted you could restore the town! Do you have Homebrew? I do cause it's great to backup and restore saves!

you can go to 3dbrew.org to find a game/app that will load Homebrew, you will be able to:
play emulators(snes and nes)
backup saves
FTP server(micro sdcard management without n3ds)
Games
Media player
Downgrade tom
