Hi! So I've read so many articles about how ignoring a villager makes them move out the quickest.. but my friend said she is talking to them until they get angry and making them want to move from annoyance. She said it is way faster. Has anyone tried this method? Does it work?

no, these methods are all hearsay. i really recommend the methods in this thread! they are the best, fastest and most painless way to try and get someone out fast

Neither of those methods work. Move out requests are generated randomly.

Thank you both! Cant believe how many days ive wasted :(

yah i do the 15 day method & it always works for me
I saw the post that Dino shared and I saw that method! I asked someone with a difrrent method this but I'll ask you too. Can you go back after someone moves out? Ex: I travel 15 days, get a ping, then travel two days so the villager is officially gone, then I set my date back to the actual date. Will my game mess up?

oh i have no clue, i always get scared the house plot will be sold to some random so i dont move back until i get the villager i want!

Oh I would have never thought about that! If I run out of Nook tickets and try it I'll let you know if you interested!

I've tried that method in both acnl and nh. I have never gotten results. Idk why people are still making articles with that info.

That's fine. You can also TT back to the current day while a villager is in boxes, and they will stay in boxes.

Are you referring to the 15 day TT method? Because I use that method and it works wonders.

glad it helped ! i do a travel forward backward method, but only after i have filled the plot verified the villager moves in okay and interacts/leaves their house lol. triple check.

so, lets say i do the 5x5 method, then on that day someone pings to leave, i let them. next day, i give the villager to someone when they're in boxes. next day, then i have an open plot and get my own villager of choice lined up ! next day, they move in ! next day, they unpack ! LAST DAY, they interact normally.

now, i feel free to jump back however many days i want. going backwards does nothing bad to your island that i've seen yet :D
hope that helps explain
