So this one thing happens to me which i think is pretty funny...

I am so used to the nintendo button layout.. I've used nintendo consoles most of my life. I recently got a ps4 but I was so used to nintendo's layout that i kept pressing o thinking that it was a, so i was just exiting out of everything. Same with x i would just select everything when i just wanted to exit LOL

So does this happen to anyone else or just me? XD

Well I have similar stuff when playing Japanese games on the Vita, O is actually "a" while X is "b" as reversed on the eu games i have lol.

Omg yes. I have a ps4 and if I play one of the two for a while without playing the other one, I get really mixed up on the button layout lol.

I mix up the X-box and ps4 buttons all the time. I always have to look when I use either console after using the other for a long time haha

Yeah this happens pretty frequently for me when I switch consoles after a long time of playing one. Its really annoying but its just how the brain and muscles adapt to your daily lifestyle.

It happens when I have to use an Xbox pad at a friends since I otherwise don't use them...Especially when a game says to 'press X' since X is in a different place on Duelshocks.

It also happens with like 95% of PC games since I use PS controllers on that, but a majority of PC games (emulators aside) have Xbox layouts as the default (and usually only) option for controllers.

I think it goes without saying that if I've been using a Nintendo console regularly at the time, Xbox controllers are even more hassle since they use the same face button markings, except they're mirrored...

A majority of my controller issues could have been solved by Microsoft not being lazy and just using unique face button layouts. I find it easier to pick up something with unique symbols than trying to remember different placements for familiar ones.
