Nope, not at all. In fact, I like how goofy some of the town tunes are played by my villagers. The ones I really like are from Bea, Stitches, and Queenie. As for the instruments used, isn’t it tied to animal species AND personality? For example, the eagles use the flute (at least that’s what it sounds like to me). When I speak to Sterling who is a jock villager, not only is the flute being played, but is done at a fast pace as well. When I spoke to Celia who is a normal villager, the flute is played at a normal pace.
I love when their version of the town tune alters it slightly. I have Admiral the cranky bird and his is my favorite cuz it puts my tune into a minor-sounding key, which totally fits him.
This has been the case in ever AC. Some of them will make certain tunes sound weird. In NL I had Erik, and I loved him, but his version of the tune did this weird thing. There was a part in my tune that had a descending major second, but for whatever reason Erik played the same note twice instead. It's just a weird little thing to give them more personality I guess.
i love how they all have different jingle "voices"! i think it's super cute! there is ONE voice i do hate in particular and it's actually orville - something about his singing is so pitchy so i ended up having to change my original tune because i didn't like the way he sang it LOL
