Does the house exterior glitch still work?

Hey guys! I currently have Walt on my island and am thinking about kicking him out to get either Tammi or Anabelle, but really like how Walt's house looks in my town. I was wondering if the house exterior glitch was still around and if so how do I make it happen? Are there any risks involving this glitch? Thanks!

(hope its ok to talk about this on here since its a glitch and not a cheat/hack)

Nope. I think that was fixed in v1.2 or v1.3
