Does shoveling flowers use your shovel count?

Lol I legit spent 5 minutes trying to word this title.. brain fart lol
Anyways, when I use my shovel to relocate flowers, does it count towards damaging the shovel? Does the shovel count go down?

I'm pretty sure it does. I pretty much only dig up flowers, occasionally cracks in the ground and rocks but mostly flowers, and I have broken plenty of shovels.

Yes. TT v TT It's one major reason that I'm annoyed that you have to use your shovel to pick up flowers now.

yup because my shovel used to last for a long time, DAYS... but ever since i've tried to plant more hybrids they break more easily

That's actually annoying... I feel like many people have hundreds of flowers lying around that frequently need to be moved. You would think since this game is so focused on decorating your town, moving things around, stuff like that - they'd be more chill with at least the shovel not breaking with digging up flowers. ya know?
