does removing common flowers so they don't breed increase chances of hybrids?

i read on neoseeker that somebody said if you have beautiful town ordinance villagers will water your common flowers, which decrease chances of hybrids spawning. do you guys do this?

Villagers water all flowers. My hybrids and carnations tend to get watered more because there's so many.
I move common flowers to the beach though

i knew they water all flowers, but my hybrids are somewhat isolated

thanks though, i'll put my common flowers on the beach

How do we "guys" do what?

You can't make hybrids if you remove all regular flowers, and you won't obtain a perfect town rating if there are few to none flowers in your village. I've always had hybrids spawn every day regardless of which flowers others watered.

Hybrids will spawn from hybrids. You don't need to have common flowers being watered when you have breeding pairs of hybrids you could have watered instead, villagers included.

Hybrids will spawn from hybrids, but only if you have enough hybrids to make them spawn. You'll have more chance to obtain a pink rose from 30 red and white roses, than from 5 pink roses.

My 2 blue hybrid roses beg to differ since those 2 alone have covered 30% of my beach with blue roses. The OP just implied they don't want their villagers watering their common flowers because it reduces the chance of spawning a hybrid -supposedly- and I'm assuming they would prefer their hybrids be watered as to get a hybrid to spawn instead of a chance of one when watering common flowers.

Oh and OP, try to keep your common flowers from being too bunched together. I've noticed my villagers tend to hang around areas with a lot of flowers as opposed to a few flowers

i have way too many common flowers around, but they're pretty crowded so hopefully they won't breed.
i just removed flowers from one side of a town though
